I read one review about messy combining and slippery bottles. Can’t say I’ve encountered those even after all these years. I only use the tip of a glove when shaking and the glove isn’t on. The conditioner is super. I use it until it is all gone. I don’t give five stars very often. I won’t unless I genuinely like the item. I have a very acute sense of smell and am quite chemically sensitive. This was a relief to use on both counts because I have had serious physical reactions to other hair colourants.Everything was easy to open. It was simple to mix. The black gloves were an excellent touch. It made me feel as if I was receiving an excellent salon quality hair colouring treatment at home. That put me at ease immediately.The gloves went on without a problem. They didn’t cause my skin to sweat and no irritations or rashes were experienced. My skin is very sensitive, so I have to be careful.The colourant went on quite well. The coverage of the grey areas was marvellous. Those areas took the colourant quickly. The resulting colour looks very natural.I have had challenges with other hair colouring products that don’t fully take care of the grey areas. It’s due to those areas not absorbing the colourant because the colourant slides off and those areas crave more moisture. This was not a problem here as I mentioned above. My greys are right on top. This colourant has taken care of that very well. It’s packed with proper oils which help even my stubborn greys take it in quite well.I wish it was in stock with more consistency. This shade has been challenging to get a second box of. It’s Light Pearl Blonde. I put it on my hair and waited the 25 minutes, got in the shower, and tried to wash it off. It was like I'd put super tacky glue in my hair and let it dry - it was hard and clumped. I washed it with Neutrogena, then three other types of shampoo including a tea tree mint, then Neutrogena again, then hand soap as it wasn't working. I got out of the shower and tried to brush it, it was awful and was pulling my hair out. The brush was left with little globs of white gluey stuff. My husband got out a tight comb and tried to get some of it out, it would just fill up with white little globs it scraped off my hair. I called customer service and explained and they said, \"if your hair is like that then it's because you just don't have enough protein in your hair.\" I explained again, and said that my skin where it touched had a layer like glue on it. She said use clarifying shampoo. I said I used Neutrogena and it didn't work and she said, \"well is it a clarifying shampoo?\" and not in a nice way. I told her it's the top result I get when I search Amazon. Still, I went to CVS and got a $12 bottle of a different kind of Neutrogena, a grapefruit one that specifically said clarifying. I washed my hair again 5x and it's MUCH better. I'll wash it more tomorrow and I think that will do it. They did offer to refund me for the dye but really I just wanted a way to get this stuff out of my hair. I gave them the lot number.
