Week by Week Update
6/13/2014: I started taking this product because I have reached a weight loss plateau. I have lost 20 lbs and 2 dress sizes over the course of the past year and a half but then on 4/13/2014 I plateaued and by 5/10 I began to regain (even though I was still counting calories, exercising, etc.). I had gained back 5.2 of the 20 lbs before I started taking this product on 6/13/2014. I still have 20 lbs to go from my current weight to reach my target weight/BMI (giving me a total net weight loss goal of 35 lbs). My goal with this review is to provide a week by week summary of changes (if any) that I see for the duration of taking this product. I hope to do it for the 90 days recommended, but I will stop the product if I do not see changes or have negative side effects and I will continue to update the product stars based on this product's performance. I am taking the garcinia as follows: 2 pills 30 - 60 minutes before breakfast, 1 pill 30 - 60 minutes before lunch, and 1 pill 30 - 60 minutes before dinner. I also plan to start the colon cleanse in addition to this product on 7/11/2014.1 MONTH SUMMARY: Since starting GC, I have experienced a net loss of 0.2 lb (my weight fluctuated over the month), 0.5" from my waist, 0.25" from my hips, 0.5" from my arms, 0.5" from my thighs, 0.25" from my chest, and 1" from my lower abs. 4 stars due to measurement changes but no net weight loss. See below for week by week summary.WEEK 1 (6/20/20014): I have exercised 4 times (combo strength circuit + cardio, 30 - 40 minutes duration) and I have monitored my calorie consumption consistently. I had 2 days where I went over my calorie goal and one of those days was by a significant amount (hey, a girl's gotta splurge once in a while...). One day I missed the dinner dose and one day I skipped breakfast so on that day I took 2 pills before lunch and 2 pills before dinner. It definitely decreases my appetite and I am snacking a lot less, especially post-dinner snacking. I also have reduced sugar cravings. This week I lost 2.6 lbs, 0" from waist, 1" from hips, 0.25" from arm, 0" from thigh, 0.25" from chest, 0" from lower abs (measured 1.5" below navel). I have 2.5 lbs to go before I am back to my pre-plateau weight.WEEK 2 (6/27/2014): Exercised 4 times (combo strength circuit + cardio, 30 - 40 minutes duration). 2 days I was over my calorie goal, one of those by about 500 calories. Did not miss a dose (2 pills before breakfast, 1 before lunch, 1 before dinner). I do have decreased hunger between most meals and decreased sugar cravings. This week I GAINED weight though - I gained 1.4 lbs. For my measurements, this week I have lost an additional: 0.25" from waist, 0" from hips, 0" from arms, 0.5" from thigh, 0" from chest, and 0.5" from lower abs (measured 1.5" below navel). Some of my measurements have improved even though I gained weight so perhaps I am gaining muscle which is why the scale went up? Will lower to 3 stars and continue to monitor.WEEK 3 (7/7/2014): Was on vacation for a week, hence why the update is for 7/7 instead of 7/4. I did not eat healthy this week - lots of fried foods and desserts - but I did exercise 4 times. I did not take the pills regularly but did take at least 2 pills a day. On 7/7 I had gained 3 lbs after 1 week of gluttony (NOTE: usually I would have gained 5). My body measurements did not change from 6/27/2014 except to loose 0.25" more from my lower abs (measured 1.5" below the navel). Will increase to 4 stars as I gained less weight than I thought I would and my measurements maintained/improved.WEEK 4 (7/11/2014): Since being home from vacation on 7/7 I have watched my calories again. I have exercised 3 times since 7/7 and I was over my calorie count by a significant amount on one day. In the 4 days since returning home I have taken this as directed each day. Since 7/7 I have lost 1.8 lb in 4 days (though I am still net + due to 3 lb gain from vacation), 0.25" from my waist, hips, arms, and lower abs. 0" from thighs and chest. Will keep at 4 stars as my measurements are definitely changing even if the scale is not showing significant changes. I will start taking the colon cleanse today in addition to the GC.

Placebo effect for me, but their customer service is impeccable!
Garcinia cambogia has been a "staple" of my supplement routine for years now, and I primarily was a huge fan of NaturalMax since their product didn't have anything added except for calcium. Unfortunately it is increasingly more difficult to find, so I end up looking elsewhere. I have also tried the garcinia cambogia by Vitacost, which is an excellent product as well but I don't always remember to order it in time to have it on hand.I am sad to report that this product gave me NO extra energy and did not appear to suppress my appetite, not even when taken on an empty stomach. When I compare taking this brand to the Vitacost brand, or Hamilton, I get nothing, and with the other two, the energy and appetite suppression is noticeable no matter what time of the day I take it, all other variables constant. Maybe they need to add calcium because it absorbs better? Who knows. All other garcinias that have calcium seem to work better for me. I have read that garcinia cambogia needs both potassium and calcium to absorb well, but who knows. Again, the Vitacost brand doesn't appear to have calcium or potassium added and the Naturalmax only has calcium added!I am disappointed as I had read great reviews, although many were mixed and others stated they gained weight. Theoretically, I don't believe this product could promote weight gain - that would be quite the anomaly for the mechanism of garcinia cambogia. If you find the one that works for you, stick with it because this little fruit does have some amazing properties!!!***UPDATE: If I make the effort to write a review, I put as much thought into as I can. The point of writing a review is for potential buyers to make a good purchase decision and if the company putting out the product is smart, they can use information in a review to make product improvements, IF necessary. I have to say...even though this product didn't work for me (and I experimented in several different ways), it works for many people and that's what matters. Not all supplements work the same for everyone, possibly due to body chemistry, additional products consumed, and other variables. What I will say is that this company has amazing customer service - service that blew my socks off. They actually contacted me twice to ensure satisfaction. Usually when someone says "we stand behind our product", you think, "Yeah, yeah, I am 'sure' you do..." and you have to hassle with them to actually make them live up to their word. Not so with this company. Upon receiving my feedback after I responded to their email, they promptly refunded the money for the product - no hassles, no begging. This is impressive in a world where little to no customer service exists. Hence, I am modifying my review from 1 star to 3 stars JUST for the customer service aspect of their business.
