BERN, Kid's Nina Helmet with Flip Visor

This is the best helmet as far as I'm concerned. The fit is exceptional for my 3 year old daughter. She hasn't hit her head while riding her micro but I'm sure it will hold up and do its job just fine if she does..... The strawberry one is super cute and the xs/s fit her head perfect! One article I read showed bern and nutcase helmets not meeting the standard but I'm not sure they took into account the type of activity and dexterity of the child. For more xtreme or aggressive riding I would recommend the brand melon. Thanks!

In my opinion, the majority of the child helmets on the market are either unreasonably expensive or they are in the $20 range and are annoyingly non-adjustable. Since a helmet is SAFETY gear having something adjustable and FIT just right was really important to me, as is the material, durability, and price point. I ordered this helmet for my 4 year old and was quite happy with this purchase. Although it is not the most fashionable or adorable helmet available, I trust the BERN brand as I own one of their adult helmets- they are well known for all season sport helmets and their helmets are made well.I was absolutely fine with buying this $21 helmet even if I was trading off some of the cuter designs from other brands that cost onwards of $60+. I find that it isn't worth spending a whole lot on things like this when children outgrow them so quickly. The helmet does it's job and my daughter actually quite likes the design (off-white with pink metallic flowers). It even came with a cozy (and removeable) insert for snowboarding. We only bike so we took it out but I think having that option is kind of nice.I would recommend this product to friends for sure.

Our daughter started using this from 15 months old, she doesn't want to take it off right away (a big positive mark!) and doesn't seem to get sweaty or upset with it while riding for up to an hour. Can't comment on function in a fall, but it seems as reliable and protective as the adult Bern helmets which are also great. Super cute looks, but no one can seem to tell if it's supposed to be a strawberry, watermelon or lady bug.

Awesome helmet. The S/M fits my average-sized 8-year-old perfectly. The helmet fits snugly but comfortably and is easy to adjust. It looks cool and is padded well for comfort. We've had lots of different helmet brands that never seem to fit perfectly, and I'm so glad that someone directed me towards this one. My daughter loves wearing it and I feel confident that it is the proper fit to keep her safe.

LOVE this helmet. My kid is on the spectrum, everything bothers her (itches, rubs, too tight). This helmet has been a hit all summer. It's not too hot yet padded nicely. The visor is just enough to keep sun out of her eyes. Everyone tells us how much they like it. She can buckle and unbuckle it herself at 5 years old. It's easy to adjust and we have plenty of room for growth. We already have a ski helmet but I think we can buy a winter liner for this one if need be. Stoked on a quality kids product.

My 3 year old daughter recently grew out of her nutcase helmet, which was a great helmet, but my daughter never liked wearing it. We decided to buy the Nina Bern helmet, and it fits perfect, with room to grow! The quality is awesome, and everyone always comments how cute it is! The strawberry one is a show stopper. The best part is that she LOVES wearing it. We don't fight with her to wear her helmet when she rides her scooter or bike rides. Highly recommend this helmet!!

Super cute and perfect fit. Purchased the sm/md for my 9yo. Keeps sun off the bridge of her nose and has the snuggest fit of all the helmets she’s owned.

Ordered a small/medium, which is what the sticker and external tag say when opened, BUT the inside tag notes that it is xs/s instead. So, with the return window having closed, I’m stuck with an xs helmet that I didn’t order and don’t need. Bern clearly has no quality control.

I use a Bern helmet on my MTB and it's saved me a few times, so I trust them to look after my toddler. The helmet feels just as sturdy and reliable as the adult version. There's quite a bit of adjustability in the liner so it'll last a good few years too, I think.The only down side is the strawberry colouring is matte, and nowhere near as shiny and vibrant as shown on the picture.Other than that though I would totally recommend it.

Looks nice and fits well, only issue is that the visor seems to slip down so can obscure vision when folded downwards. However it’s much better than the (much more expensive) helmet my daughter had before. And the option to convert it to a ski helmet will be very useful.

Exactly as described, definitely a quality item that has been thought about in the design. The visor at the front is great for sunny days.

My daughter loves her new bike helmet. We’ve had Bern helmets before and have always like the quality and fit.

Excellent quality and materials, adjusted easily and has all soft interior which makes it much better for girls with long hair (compared to plastic helmets with velcro)

This item says it is for a child. It fits my head and I am in my mid 30's and I am average size. The customer service is absolutely terrible. They refuse to send a shipping label for a refund. Also they said they will only refund 85% of the funds. I will never buy from this company again. They are just trying to lock in a sale. So sad. Especially during COVID19

Comodo da indossare, esteticamente piacevole e funzionale. Della concorrenza rimpiango solo la chiusura tradizionale (la magnetica la trovo molto più indicata a bambini piccoli come mia figlia). Veste leggermente grande per la mia bambina di 3 anni con circonferenza 51, più di quanto mi immaginassi. Ma andrà benissimo in futuro

This is our second third Bern helmet...Very good style, protective, adjustable and can be used for cold days with inner linning that is sold separatley.
