EcoFoil Single Bubble Reflective Insulation (Foil both sides) is constructed with a single layer of polyethylene bubbles bonded between 2 layers of 99.9% pure aluminum radiant barrier. All radiant barriers need at least a small amount of air space on both sides for the foil to reflect properly. Our foil bubble insulation can be applied in tight spaces like under basement walls or between floor joists and serve both as an insulator AND a radiant barrier, because the bubble layer provides an R-value, as well as that air space which the foil needs to properly reflect radiant heat.
