decent mic, not really clear
Works good, but not super clear, and you have to speak loud. I purchased 2 of these one for each car. Both had pioneer touch screens one an x2500BO, and the other a 200BT. One I installed by drilling a hole in the dash panel by the clock on my Subaru Forester, so its mounted in plastic, and the other is in a Pacifica, and I mounted it by drilling a hole into bump in the ceiling to the side of the overhead lights and glasses holder. so it is mounted into a cloth/particleboard material and overhead.It is a bit easier to use in the Pacifica, but I think its more because it is a much quieter car.Overall it works okay but it feels and looks a bit cheap, and I would certainly not use the mounting clip it came with as I prefer trying to pull off a more OEM look. Pioneer used to make one that was flat and could be mounted into the ceiling just above the driver seat and looked awesome, couldn't find that one, so if you are trying to go for an OEM look you'll have to mount it somewhere where there is ample room behind or underneath your mounting spot to accommodate the length of this cylinder.
