Easy to install fixed back flow issues
I installed a whole house recalculation pump and was having back flow issues (cold water back flowing on the hot side through the pump) due to a tankless water heater. This baby popped right in and fixed the problem. Highly recommend.

A little pricey, but worth it.
Not too much to say really, it works exactly as described and exactly as I expected. It was a little on the pricey side, in my opinion, for what it is; but at the same time, I paid it and was very happy to not have to spend a lot longer sweating copper.

SharkBite fittings are so easy to use!!!
Our house is on well water, so we have numerous filters and a water softener. We were noticing that when the water softener regenerated, that their would be air in the lines upstairs the next morning. I'm assuming the cause is a slight drip in our upstairs shower (it allows a very slow drip of water), so when the softener is regenerating, that leak allows the water to backfill from the water lines that run upstairs. When I installed the water softener, I used a SharkBite connector, so all I did was disconnect that join and replaced it with this check valve. So far, that has fixed the issue with the air getting in the lines (although I still need to fix the leak). Note: Removing the old SharkBite union and replacing it with the check valve took about 2 minutes to complete!

Easy replacement checkvalve.
I replace an old check valve that wasn't holding back pressure anymore. Using a SharkBite unit makes it possible to remove and clean the valve without having to desolder the fitting.

Fixed my RV shower problem, love it!
Installed this in my travel trailer, in the hot water line of the shower. IF you do this, it will stop the back flow of the cold water back into the hot water line. Then, when you turn the shower head back on, the water will be warm, not cold. I had pretty good access to the water lines behind a little white plastic cover held in with 4 screws. It was a little tight, but no too tough. You need to cut out 3/4" from the line, so that when you put this in, the overall length of the line to the shower will be the same. Took maybe 30 minutes total. No leaks. Keep in mind you can rotate the pipes after pressing this on, so you don't need to be careful with orientation. Also, the Sharkbite website shows how to remove it if you screwed up and put it in backwards.

Good for failed RV demand pump valves
I got this to keep in my RV for emergency repair purposes in the event my demand pump's back-flow valve fails. I've had it happen before, and it's no fun. This should make the fix easy.Although I haven't installed it yet, I've installed all manner of Shark Bite fittings on everything from copper to PVC to pex, and I've never been disappointed. I have high confidence that this one will be no different.

Easy to install.
I have had to replace the 12 volt fresh water supply pump in my trave trailer several times because the internal check valve fails after just a few months. Every time the check valve fails it fills, then overflows the fresh water tank. I decided this time not to replace a perfectly good pump over a non working check valve. I purchased a threaded check valve to direct attach to the pump, but the male/female threads were backwards from what I needed. I could have replumbed things, but the Shark Bite check valve was much easier to install. It was simple to cut the line, and then press the Shark Bite on. Time will tell as to how long this will hold the pressure.

Stopped random start up of tankless water heater
Good product, I recently installed a tankless water heater and noticed every time i flushed the basement toilet or my washer would put in water on a tap cold cycle the water heater would start it's purge cycle. After reading up on this and doing some tests (closing the cold water inlet valve on the tankless hwh while flushing the downstairs toilet etc) figured id need a check valve. I am not much for sharkbites but i figured for the price and how easy it is to install why not. Been over a month now and everything is working as it should again. The tankless hotwater heater doesn't start up anymore while cold water is being used anywhere and it was super easy to install

I love SharkBite plumbing products!
This check valve installed so easily, didn't leak at all, and prevents the back flow that was occurring at my kitchen sink due to a mixing faucet. The result of the back flow was that if the faucet was left at a "warm" position the hot water was flowing towards the cold water supply, wasting energy and forcing us to run water unnecessarily when we needed cold water.I had tried another check valve that had failed to solve the problem and was a nuisance to install as well.Top marks to SharkBite!!

Expensive but easy to install and work well
I have separate hot and cold hose bibs in my garage. They're connected together with a mixing hose so that I can get any temperature into my garden hose. I installed these on both the hit and cold side to keep the tap with the higher pressure from back feeling into the other open tap. I used these rather than vacuum breakers because the vacuum breakers release the water to atmosphere which would make a mess in the garage. They're expensive for what they are, but they're doing their job well so far!

Estupendo articulo

tankless hot water heater
installed in front of our tankless hot water heater. The exhaust fan would turn on after any cold water tap was closed quickly, after putting this 5 feet in front of the heater the exhaust fan doesn't turn on anymore unless hot water is used.
