Imported Russian Bread Drink Kvas "Ochakovskiy" 2L (2 Pack)

I enjoyed this, and would like to see it on US shelves. It's my only experience with kvass, so I have no frame of reference, and can't compare with other brands, but it's malty with a bit of tartness, and not overly sweet. Similar to malta, which is extremely sweet. A little expensive due to the nature of the product. Hard to ship large containers of liquid cheaply, and there isn't any native distribution channel as far as I know. It's a good refreshing summer drink, and I'll buy it again, but due to the price, it'll be for an occasional treat, and not a regular purchase.

I have already tried kvass in Perm, Russia, and this is by far the most delicious variety of street kvass

The kvass tastes very similar to what my бабушка made for me when I was a kid. It's slightly sweet and citrus tasting with a malted flavor overall. I had an issue with shipping and it was corrected for me immediately. Great company to buy from and even better kvass.

I had kvas in Russia when I was there as a tourist in the 1980s. I remember it being lighter in color (more like beer) and having a milder taste. I didn't like this at first but it's grown on me. It is very expensive, so I don't plan to get any more until I have a chance to try some other brands and types.

I paid for this thinking I was going to get 2 of these great tasting kvass bottles but when I received my order in the mail, I only got 1 bottle instead of the 2 pack they have promised..

I liked it a lot but I think its a little too carbonated for my tastes, after going on a hike with it in my bag, it became less carbonated, which is when it became very very good.

This is a very bitter black bread kvass. Did not like it at all. Closest comparison would be a heavy black stout beer. It leaves a bitter taste in your mouth afterwards and drinking it room temperature or cold did not improve the flavor. I have tried many different slavic kvass drinks and this was my least favorite.
