Chakra Meditation Kit: Bring Balance to Your Mind, Body and Spirit (Book, Cards, and CD)

Ouch!!! If you think for one moment, as I did, this would be of help by leading you into a peaceful Chakra Meditation you'll be disappointed. The book is a beginners guide to understanding Chakras. with, of course, a portion of promotion for Amy's art and jewelry. The CD is absolutely horrendous. The music is annoying and the voice is not soothing at all, much as if I were being sold a car. How can anyone claiming to know about meditation produce such a racket of noise? Just terrible and so disappointed.

The description of this product said that it would include the CD. I bought this item a few years ago and really liked the meditations. I lost the CD and wanted to buy it again. The seller did not respond to my inquiry.

This CD tries to be a 'powerful force' of chakra energy. It sounds more like a sermon from a 'mega church' preaching the practice of honoring self. The music is not calming or soothing, rather it attempts to be pulsing with energy. Not for those who are seriously seeking yoga practice, or spirituality. I am currently participating in a 500 hour yoga/spirituality instructors certification, and for me this 'kit' is laughable. It's a toy, to be played with...

This kit changes my life for the better every single time I use it.

When I first received the kit I thought it was cheesy and a bit ridiculous but then I decided to give it a wholehearted chance. I set aside time each day to listen to the cd. I focused on one chakra each week so I listened to its track as well as the tune-up track. At the end of the seven weeks it's taken to work through them all, I'm more relaxed, more at peace within myself, and feel energized. I'm glad I gave it an honest try before writing it off as a mistake. In fact, I'm planning to purchase a back up kit to have on hand when the disc becomes overused and unable to play.

I got this for a few dollars. It comes with a short book that is only somewhat helpful for beginners, and not at all for anyone else. It comes with chakra cards by Amy Zerner that look almost identical to the tarot deck these two have done and redone. Then there are cheap candles. (and if you run out you can buy more of these cheap tealights for 10 bucks!) Then the CD-it is wretched. Something akin to porn music is in the back ground, and Monte Farber sounds like a voice over from a B science fiction movie from the 50's. Not good.I guess a little knowledge goes a long way with these two, as they keep making more and more new age products, but it doesn't mean it's good.

This Chakra Meditation Kit was OK for beginners who needed some understanding. The information was there, but for me the voice was a little too 'enthusiastic' and not gentle enough, and the music was, in my humble opinion, totally wrong for meditation and far too upbeat. A womans voice would have been far more soothing, with slower music. The cards were interesting, and although artistically I grew to appreciate their graphic content, I feel these could have concentrated far more on the meaning of the actual chakra it portrayed. There were other colours involved i.e. orange and yellow in the Indigo blue card, which for me was distracting. A nice set, but did not quite capture the essence for me.
