How it worked for me and saved me money!
I bought my childhood home and totally remodeled it for a rental. The home has been great but I have had to unstop the shower twice over the last two years. A plumber wanted thousands to replace 65 feet of sewer line (and that wouldn't have fixed it). Another plumber wanted $350 minimum to setup and view the sewer line with a camera system. I figure it's never the minimum so I bought this system instead. When we started the repair the shower was holding dirty water and the camera could not see in that water at all. After running a snake down it, the water drained and we cleaned the shower. We tried severl time to put the camera in the shower but we could not get it through the p-trap. The system will work down a 2" line but we could not get it through that p-trap. With this camera system I was able to go through the clean out in the backyard. I was able to inspect the whole sewer line all the way to the alley and there were no issues. So I turned the camera the other direction and went up the line and I was able to view the line up under the house and about 10 feet in found the problem. There was a blob of shampoo, conditioner and hair stopping up the line. We ran the snake again through the p-trap as I watched with the camera up the line outside. Going slowly as the snake came through I was actually able to sit and watch the sludge fall from the 2" line into the 4". I removed the camera and my helper washed the line out. He said we got it and it running good now. I inserted the camera again and told him to run the snake again. And guess what? Over and over we took the snake back and forth about two feet as I watched the sludge continue to fall. We continued this process until we inserted the snake over and over and nothing came out. What was amazing was we could watch it in real time and could actually see that the line was clean. We should not have trouble for years. So the camera image is excellent. So far I have not figured out about the zooming in and out but I did not need it. It could have been me though not the system. I could see the image even in the bright sun but it was much better when I put a towel over my head and the screen. We could not get it past the 2" p-trap but again that might come with experience. The light adjustment on the camera worked great. I noticed someone said treat it like a Harbor Freight tool. Well I disagree. While you can't throw it, or run over it with your car, the camera is on a stiff, sturdy cable. The camera itself seems to be reasonably sturdy and is definitely waterproof. The case is also well made and had tight fitting holes for all the equipment. I Cleaned the cable, camera and control knobs off with disinfectant wipes to replace back into case. I would definitely recommend the system to anyone. I repaired my problem and have the ease of mind knowing the rest of my line is in good shape without spending thousands. And the camera is ready for its next job. After using this several times over the last year and a half yesterday my neighbor called and ask to borrow it. He had a swarm of bees that had setup a hive under his workshop. While moving they hive got angry and attacked the two mowers, they had to be removed. He had a bee keeper coming to remove the hive but they needed to know how wide and deep they needed to cut out the floor. They used this camera to feed under the shed and therefore could tell exactly where the hive was. This allowed the floor to be cut out at exactly the right places. The Camera worked great for this purpose and the floor was removed and the bees taken to another location for honey farming. (See photo of honey comb after floor cut out.)After this I can think of many other uses for this camera system. In walls, under houses, in attics and in rock piles for snakes. This is a great system.

Great package deal for camera and locator👊👍
Quality packaging, quality products described like advertised. Clear viewing from camera with nice rolling centering device that comes with the camera to run it down a 4” line making 90 degree bends with no trouble.Video/photo function is great for capturing defects in the line.Battery life lasts as as stated. Case is very nice with locking keys.Plug and play easy to use for even the inexperienced homeowner. The locater works great but needs 6-AA batteries.

Great camera setup for the price
I have used this camera to do a sewer scope. It works great and is easy to use. I do wish there was a better user Manuel but it was not too hard to figure everything out. I give it a 5 of 5 especially for the price.

This really did the job with a slight drawback
The case is great but the items are packaged into it SO tightly that it takes a screwdriver to pry them out of their slots. Once assembled it doesn't go back into the case - unless there's a shortcut I can't find. The picture quality is great. The cable is great. It feeds easily into the pipe. The screen is permanently mounted on the lid of the case with a plastic shield above it... so if the case is on the ground, you have to lie down to see it or tip the whole thing on its back. In tight quarters it's very bulky. But it worked to do the one job I had, so it was worth the money. I'll probably never need it again.

Works far better than I expected
I'm on our condo board in Florida and recently we've been having issues with the sewer drains coming out of our buildings. When there's an emergency, the repairs can be very expensive. We decided to get proactive and do annual inspections provided this camera worked as advertised. I'm happy to report that it does, with a few caveats, but overall it paid for itself after only one use. Local plumbers wanted about $400 per building to check the lines, so obviously this unit it paid for itself several times over in year one.On the plus side, it's well built and the picture quality is decent. The wire guiding the camera is stiffer than you might think so, yeah, 90 degree turns in tight pipes aren't going to happen. Luckily we didn't have any 90 degree turns in our 4" PVC we were inspecting but I think that's an installation no-no anyway. It was easy to feed into the drain cleanout and guide down the pipe.On the down side, the instructions are horrible, as expected. It's worse than the usual "Chinglish", rather just a bunch of photos with colored arrows! Seriously, the owner manual will make you long for IKEA instructions, it's that bad. Also, I couldn't get the unit to record video, only take stills. I contacted the mfr. who was quick enough to respond by the way, and they suggested using a different SD card. I was thinking the same thing but haven't tried it yet because we really didn't need the video function anyway, stills worked just fine. But it would have been cool to show in a board presentation.Overall, if you're hesitant like I was, give it a shot. But you better be some sort of techie with some patience and willing to experiment getting the thing going. Maybe I'll post some instructions here in the future but currently the unit is in Florida but I'm north for the summer.
