Summit Treestands Zippered Arm Pads

I have a 20 year old tree stand and needed to replace the side rail and shooting rail pads. The old ones were velcro which had given up after the years so I thought the zipper type would be better. I went to my tree stand yesterday and put them on. The zippers are very strong and easy to work and the padding is better that the originals as well as the pipe insulation that I used to replace those. The camo pattern is very good and the material is very quiet.

I have had the summit viper stand for several years. last year i forgot to bring it in at the end of deer season. I left the woods for a few months. and the sun made the straps look and feel rough so i got this replacement seat it fit the stand perfectly the seat is bigger and the cushion is thicker then the original seat very comfortable

This is one set of 3 zippered pads to clear up any confusion. The pad is contained within the material. String odor exists on these, so plan on washing, airing out, or using a cover scent prior to use. The quality of this product is good and is an outstanding replacement for my original foam arm pads with covers.

This fit my older Summit Viper tree stand perfectly. Replaced the original ones that had clearly seen better days and were on their last leg.

I loved the camo as well as the ease of the installation, coming from the old pads which were zip tied on, I can tell that these pads have better cushioning. Can't wait to try them out this season.The reason they did not get a 5 star, however, is because they have a major design flaw. As a tree stand hunter, stealth is paramount even in the early morning. That being said... the zipper dongle is way too large, almost unnaturally. When you think that most people won't remove them frequently, it is almost a waste to have these zippers on them. This presents a real problem when you are walking and the tips of the zippers are clinking against your metal stand... I had to cut the dongles down in order to avoid this unnecessary noise.

My old Summit Viper has the arm pads that have to be secured with Zip ties. I like this version much better. I do recommend using some kind of duct tape to secure the zipper tab as it make quite a bit of noise when packing the stand in/out of the woods. I would recommend Summit go to rubber zippers and zipper tabs, much like those used for scuba gear. These pads are a little short in my opinion, so I always order extra.

Ordered these to add to the front bar on my summit treestands (Viper & Goliath) where I lay my rifle. Suggestion: They should make the front bar pad longer to cover the entire bar to prevent possible noise. The quality of these pads are excellent.

These are good... but there should be 4 of them... or maybe one of them should be longer for the shooting rail. I've needed an extra one for each of my stands. Luckily I have 3 climbers so one extra pack suited me. But it seems silly to have to do that for adequate coverage. They also seem to interfere with the stacking of the two pieces of the climber when putting them together for carrying. Extra fumbling is required at dark to put it back together.
