Went together nicely

My husband and I purchased this gazebo to put on our 16'x20' roofless deck for some shade. It's a nice size and doesn't overwhelmed our deck. Two chairs fit under it best (for being in shade most if not all the time), but 4 would still work/be the max amount to fit under it.This was fairly easy to build. We have 3 kids that are 5 and under, so we had to take alot of breaks and work in the dark, but in total it probably took 6-7 hours over 3 days. The worst part was by far the little M5 piece under the middle bar - we had to cut a piece of cardboard to use as an extension to push it up into place. The edging and corner clips were also a slight challenge to put on. Otherwise, a couple annoyances were the roof clips didn't always fit or fit snuggly. Some screws were stripped straight out of the packaging (so happy they sent extra), the aluminum was scratched in places (I know it scratches easily but this is still annoying). The rain comes off of the roof and hits our deck railing and bounces right on in under the gazebo, but that's more our bad than the product.After finishing, the product was sturdy enough but not super heavy - which is good for my deck, but we definitely had to anchor (we had a storm the first night after building completely and before anchoring and the wind did move it) which was crappy to do to our composite decking, but necessary. It provides a nice space for us to sit before evening out there, and it looks nice, not cheap, for an aluminum product. Overall we are happy with it, and we got it at the best price at the time from Amazon after checking several retailers. I think I'll pick a different one in the future when this one needs replaced, but I am satisfied with my choice for now!

I was going pay the $350 and have the contractors assemble the canopy but at time of checkout that option wasn't available (I assume because it was being delivered to a remote/rural location). My brother & I put it together and it took about 7 hours. I think the instructions & parts labeling were very well done although, as usual, were intimidating at first but the steps and parts made sense as we made our way through the assembling steps. My brother & I are somewhat experienced doing this type of work but as long as you have 2 people & a 6' step ladder it will be a breeze, albeit time-consuming. We put a patio table in the area to keep all the fasteners, tools & small parts handy and that helped a lot. Also, ample extra fasteners were provided...nice! A couple unclear issues we determined is that hooks & mosquito net ARE provided (hooks & solid, soft cover are not however there is a 2nd "track" that you can add those to later without having to disassemble anything). We taped the "loose" hooks to the track during assembly so they didn't fall out as we were adding posts, etc. but in hindsight, those could be added after assembly even though the direction showed adding them before the posts & roof went together. Love the look of this. Everything came in with NO damage, all parts and extra hardware. The toughest part was installing the roof panels! After the first side, the rest went much faster. Very sturdy. The entire frame took less than 2 hours for 2 of us. Total time was 5-6 hours with 2 people. I am very excited about the outdoor space created!

First instructions w/o any words and was quite well illustrated. At least 2-people will need to be present to build along with a ladder. Appears to be a high quality product and will hope for longevity.

Bought this to replace a canvas-topped gazebo. It took three of us 6 hours to assemble, not including my 1-2 hours the night before prepping the pieces that didn't need more than one person. Lining up the holes for the screws was challenging; I can't believe someone said he did it himself. We needed two ladders and a lot of muscle to put everything together. But it looks beautiful. Cons: the hangers for the curtains are small and short, so when you move the curtains to tie them back, the grommets on the curtains are so large that some of them fall out of the small hangers. Not a deal breaker, but I may have to find rubber stoppers to put on top of the hangers. All parts were present; only two pieces were scratched slightly (I fixed with some enamel paint). Directions were not perfect (when they say D1/D2/R they mean that you put only one of those type pieces in the places indicated in the diagram). Good luck!

It took 8 hours to put together.That's me and my husband doing it together.I Love that it come with a mosquito netting I just wish it would have come with more clips for an outside curtain as well as the mosquito curtain. I'll be buying more clips because I would like a curtain up to block the sun in the evenings but I would definitely buy this again We love it!!

Quality is great. It took wife and I a day and a half to assemble. A pain but once it was up. What a joy. We can now be on our deck even at high noon. No more burning sun and pesky mosquitos. Perfect for my deck. I just need to add gutters. We're in our late 60s.
