Wonderful Investment
A friend has the smaller unit, so got to see that in action. This larger unit holds the manure from 6 stalls every single day. Some days we have to empty at stall 5 but most days it holds 6.It is a workhorse with no issues at all. The only bad part is it comes in a box that UPS brought up to the house. I had to wait for the farrier to come help me get it in to a tractor bucket. It was a very large heavy box. Assembly was fairly easy with no issues, took several hours.Would I recommend this spreader? OH HECK YES! This was a great investment and well worth the price.

I so wanted to like this. I saved
I so wanted to like this. I saved, and saved, and dreamed and dreamed, thinking this would be the answer to all of my problems with manure disposal. I watched and re-watched all of the videos. I read about people's experiences, and I purchased this VERY expensive object that now sits unused and useless in my garage taking up space in my life and my budget. It just didn't work. I don't think my expectations were too high. I have two regular sized horses that live in a dry lot and then go out on pasture for a few hours each day. I wanted to spread the manure I picked up each day from the dry lot into my field. When it arrived, I had a pile that was reasonably dry and the manure that my horses were still producing daily. So I tried both... Whether it was the manure produced and picked up the same day out of the dry lot or the manure from the pile, it clumped and didn't spread evenly or in some cases at all. I was not surprised that this was the case with the pile that had already started to compost and this was not my purpose in buying this, but I tried it anyway. However, I was HIGHLY disappointed that this did not meet the intended purpose of allowing me to spread manure that I picked up daily and tried to spread the same day. This was a highly expensive DUD of a purchase. I wish I had given up sooner. Instead I have this beautiful, flawlessly made, totally ineffective piece of equipment that cost so much and does so little. I think this might work better if you bed in shavings and use it for cleaning out stalls, but for my purpose it was a bust. I hope some day someone will want to buy it, but I am not holding my breath.

Lightweight and works well.
So far I am very happy with this spreader. Fairly easy to assemble. 3-4 hours. I empty every 3-4 days. 2 horses. Very lightweight. Easy to move around. Wish plastic cover had a fly screen option for the summer. The products sweat and draws gnats with condensation. I keep mine under and overhang. My friend has had 1 for years and loves it. Good for a small barn like mine.

best buy ever
This little marvel is priceless on my little horse farm. It handles a 4 stall barn daily. I can even pull it into the barn to keep right at the stall doors no problem, wheel it in in freezing temps, and I attach it to my golf cart ! Have had it about 5 years, no issues, tires are great, we clean it, some small rust but nothing to worry about. I am 63 and I can manage this. Its a gift for any backyard farm animal owner.

It really works
I was a little septic about this purchase at the beginning. The spreader really works great. Like the other reviewers say you might have to clean the sides a little to dispense all the waist no big deal. Once you realize your building a hopper the assembly went smooth.

Good for small light manure.
Unfortunately, this spreader did not meet my expectations as far a "dumping capacity" goes. The manure did not fit through the bottom ofthe spreader (on the largest setting). I do understand the concept of a mini hopper but this spreader could use some minimal re-designing.It arrived in a week after I ordered it. The packaging was well done and the assembly instructions were well written. I only wish I could have used itin my stable (3 horses).

... for 1 year and find it to be as useful as a plastic manure fork for clean up
Had this for 1 year and find it to be as useful as a plastic manure fork for clean up. That said, we use shaving for bedding. Manure is easily spread and results in fewer flies and boosted yield from fields. If you have straw in the mix you have to reverse at times if it gets wrapped around better. If you have a load of straw and manure we find a hole or rocky site and tip the load over. 5 stars for durable, functional tool, best feature is tires are never flat.
