An attraction so strong it takes your breath. A great storyline and the chemistry between these characters, you can feel it rolling off the pages. Things are heating up in more ways than one. But some truths haven't been told, some secrets haven't been revealed. Wow! This book kept getting more intriguing, dropping little hints about secrets that Harper and Alex try to keep separate from their new relationship.

I highly recommend this book. The storyline was very good, it was easy to stay with what was happening. Loved the characters, couldn't put it down, looking forward to the next adventure with Dylan & Emily. Keep up the good work Summer!!

After reading 50 Shades of Grey this series popped up on my kindle as a suggestion based on reading preferences. I am so glad I gave it a chance. Once I started reading I couldn't put it down I was hooked.

Well written story of a young woman wanting to break out of her boring but privileged life. Emily is sweet, giving, responsible, and insulated from the real world. Her siblings are moving on in life with marriage and children, and Emily is tired of being “the Mary Poppins” of the family. The deciding factor happened on her twenty seventh birthday when no one even remembered except for her eclectic stripper friend, Roxie.I liked their friendship as Emily lacked the prejudice associated with Roxie’s profession and genuinely appreciated their friendship.I didn’t really like that Dylan was a seasoned “trainer and breaker” as he viewed Emily as another way to deal with his boredom. I also disliked the fact that he was interested in Roxie and visited the club pretty much to watch her “dance” whenever he was in the area. I think I prefer when the alpha male has some “firsts” with the heroine of the story.This author had a fantastic way with the sensual and intensely graphic scenes. Emily/Stephanie was drawn into the erotic world Dylan/Master Dark wove around her. Their unexpected connection abruptly halted for Emily when she discovered Dylan’s identity and how it connected to her family.Cliffy at the end that had me wanting more.I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.

I hate giving negative reviews because I know authors work hard to when they write their stories however, I have to be honest that I was disappointed with the quality of this book. if I had to guess I would think this book was written by a high school aged young woman. the sex scenes have the potential to be hot but instead they were confusing because the author would write that something had not yet happened, for the male character, when in fact it did happen just a few sentences before. it's difficult to explain what I'm talking about without using X-rated language. I would have expected these issues to have been caught by proof reading and editing but apparently they weren't. my other issue with this book was the author using the same word more than once in a single sentence. some of the sentences had weird word structures which made them strange and awkward. I had to read them more than once to figure out what the author was trying to say. there was a lot of "I went and took a shower" instead of saying "I walked into the bathroom and turned on the hot water......" It felt like I was reading a script with dialogue instead of reading a story. to be honest, I also didn't much like the Heroine the way she was written. she's supposed to be an inexperienced 27 year old virgin who is interested in exploring the world of BDSM, with an experienced Dom, yet she automatically knew how to behave like an experienced sub. then there's the expectations a reader has about the way an experienced Dom would behave and Dylan is just not written to reflect that either. he sounds immature and didn't behave like a Dominant at all beyond telling Emily not to move during their first sexual encounter. there was no instructions or expectations given by him before their first encounter, they just jumped right in and went at each other. I think what was most annoying is that Emily pushed so hard for this sexual encounter because she wanted to loose her virginity but then she specifically excludes that act from the first contract. the whole story is just weird and not at all realistic or believable. it's a good first draft of a story that needed much more development and proof reading. I'm glad that it was available for free from Kindle Unlimited because I would have been disappointed if I had purchased it. again, I feel bad about leaving a bad review but I was bothered that there were so many 5 star reviews from ARC readers that just seemed to gush about how hot and steamy this book is and no reviews about the actual quality of the writing.

Good storyline though while enjoyed it, it did get a bit much in places, I prefer more balance in a book, and the read was a little short. Nevertheless it was worth five stars and was well written. I will be reading book two.

I can't wait to read the next book in the series I can't wait to see how it works out
