I have ambivalent feelings about the handle. The black insert is supposed to add grip to the handle, I think. It is not uniform around the handle, which makes it seem like a defect or misalignment during manufacture. It's not a glaring error, but I did notice it.The knife itself is fine, and I like the design and the general heft and feel. Another plus is it comes with a decent, functional, clear plastic sheath to protect the knife and the user. Oh, and this is not a one piece blade/handle. The blade is separate and embedded into the handle, I am unable to determine if it's full tang. At the price, I would bet it's not full tang, but at the price...it's not a deal breaker.If the black insert in the handle was properly centered, It would rate another star. In fact, with a 'clean' fixed handle, the rating would probably be 4.5 stars.So, you need to decide if you'll be lucky and get a better handle.Overall, based on cost and quality, I'd still give a positive recommendation to purchase.
