Good introduction to computers
Sesame Street baby is a great way to introduce little ones to basic concepts like colors, shapes and numbers, and encourages them to participate in each activity. This software really helped my 2 year old learn how to use the mouse and keyboard of our computer. The are two different activity "zones". Keyboard activities require the child to press the keys in order to interact with whatever activity is onscreen. The only problem is that it most of the activities do require some mouse usage at the same time, which can be problematic for toddlers. Not many 2 year olds can use the keyboard and mouse at the same time! Parent's will have to assist their children quite a bit initially, but my daughter eventually got the hang of it, and now I only intervene to help her change pages and go to a different zone. The mouse activites are kind of weak. There are only four activities in this area, and they aren't very good. The activity which encourages your child to color using the mouse is the most engaging activity in this area. Overall, the songs are very catchy and I found my 2 year singing along and dancing like the characters and I definitely like the fact that she would much rather play on the computer with this software than watch TV! It is a good introductory tool to computers and basic concepts, but if your child is quick like mine, your child will outgrow this one in about 2-3 months.

Best Toddler Game for 12+ Months
My daughter loves this game and plays it almost every day. She started when she was about 12 months old and was able to do a lot of the activities. The games are divided into mouse-based and keyboard-based games. What's nice about the mouse games is that she can wiggle the mouse around and get positive feedback. The mouse games consist of unwrapping presents and simple coloring games (just moving the mouse colors things in.)All of the original Sesame Street characters and actors perform the voices in this great game. There are sing-along songs, letters shapes and numbers, and lots of other educational activities. As far as pressing the Windows key, there is a shareware program called WinKeyKiller that you can get from download.com that you can run before playing this game that will prevent the problem other reviewers are complaining about.

Absolutely Great!
My 3 year old daughter loves this game and has for over a year. I can't imagine how often the kids who get sick of it are playing it. With normal use it is not boring. I do think that it is geared for children who are a little older if they are playing alone. I can't imagine an 18 month old being able to navigate the menus without a parent. Also, I've never seen the bugs others have. I plan to buy one for a friend!

Reader Rabbit is MUCH better!
I can assure you that this game is not worth the money. My child is 2 and is pretty good at the mouse and keyboard and he loves Sesame Street. But he hates this software. It is very difficult to get to the different games and it is very confusing for the child. Get Reader Rabbit toddler....there is no need to use the clicker on the mouse instead the keyboard or the movement of the mouse is the interaction.

entertaining
My 16 month old loves the keyboard interaction with some of the games. He'll need to grow into a few of the others. If you have a keyboard with the MS logo button it, for me, causes the program to stop working when the child presses it.

decent but buggy
My 16mo son likes the keyboard games such as Peek a Boo. Most games are for slightly older children. It works OK but the MS keyboard button causes the program to halt when accidently pressed.
