Just doesn’t work
Completely soaked the pad in a string lemon oil. Left on most of the day but absolutely no smell whatsoever. So disappointing. Complete waste of money.

An excellent, simple alternative to a water-based diffuser
At first I was a bit disappointed, because I assumed it would have a heating pad but could find no warmth in it all. Doh! my mistake, it actually has a tiny, almost inaudible, fan which blows air across the oil pad. It's a very slight flow, you can barely feel it, but it's quite enough to be very effective.I'm puzzled by people saying they can't smell it, unless they were using the wrong type of oil - so far I've used it with Cedarwood and Patchouli essential oils (separately), just 5 drops and no need to soak the pad completely, and it's very effective. After just a few minutes a small bedroom (3mx3m) is strongly smelling of patchouli, and it's even noticeable throughout the rest of the flat. It also doesn't turn off automatically, so if yours keeps going off then perhaps it's faulty or the batteries are dying. The smoothly colour changing light is a bit of a gimmick I suppose, but it's nice enough and shows that it's working (though it stays on all the time even if you use the 15s on 15s off setting). I like the fact you can just pick it up and safely carry it around, no worries about candle flames, heat, or water to splash or need refilling. I've put in three old rechargeable AAA batteries and it's been working for hours so far, so no need to use the USB cable (which can't be used for recharging anyway). The fan is virtually inaudible unless you put your ear to the case, which is why I didn't realise it even had one at first, but I suppose you might notice it in a very quite bedroom if it was right next to your head and you had sensitive hearing. The light might also disturb light sleepers, but you could easily shield that.I bought this through a Well-known department store / supermarket at slightly less than Amazon's price (as I discovered subsequently), so all in all I'm very pleased with it and would highly recommend it.One tip: 20 pads are supplied, but if you keep each used pad in a small zip-lock plastic bag and label it with the scent name, and keep them in the box, you can re-use them to save wasting pads and oil.

Very effective
I have put the diffuser with 5 drops of eucalyptus in near my bed and I can feel that it goes straight into my lungs. The smell is actually quite strong.

Love it
Was given this as a present and love it. I've used different scented oils and the smells are lovely. I love the colour changing light as well.

Not worth the money
It doesn’t put out much scent and it turns off too frequently.Don’t waste your money.

This is the best portable diffuser, and it comes with about 20 extra pads.
I use this diffuser in my room and in my car.
