This is a great knife for the price
This is a great knife for the price. It did not have a great edge out of the box, but with a few minutes on a honing stone this blade has kept a wonderful edge.Pro Tip: Dry this immediately after washing. This is a high-carbon blade and will rust if left to air dry. My fiance left it out after cooking one night and the rust formed just at the edge of the handle and blade. I was able to use a sandpaper abrasive to remove it, but it did scuff that beautiful patina.

Great knife!!
This came a little dirty on the blade, but VERY sharp out of the box, with a very convex bevel on one side and barely a grind on the other side making this essentially a single bevel edge. It cuts great, and the patina its building is amazing. You have to keep it clean and dry or it WILL rust, but none has shown up on my knife. I have used it enough to require a touchup to the edge, but it stays very sharp for a long time, and was simple to sharpen as well. You can tell its quality steel. Its my wife's favorite knife in the kitchen!***Edit***I've owned this for 2 years now, and it is hands down my favorite knife still. It gets compliments every time someone helps in my kitchen, and is always the first one I reach for as well. Used nearly every day.

Wonderful knife
Knife holds an excellent edge, and is easy to sharpen. Will have this knife for many years to come.Keep it properly oiled and stored to avoid blade rusting and leeching of unwanted flavors into foods.

I wasn't expecting much to be honest, but its crappier than that. Blade is warped. Handle is hideously finished or unfinished to be more precise. Would be an ok knife if it wasn't warped. Absolutely NO quality control from Svord, which is part of their claimed "charm", but this is too much.

The bevel grind is so freaking warped its disgusting. One side is fine the other side looks like the guy sneezed and then just packed it up.
