Cold air! Best bang for the buck!
My central a/c stopped working. Due to lack of funds, I got the SereneLife portable air conditioner. It worked great right out of the box! I am 72yo, female and set up was very easy. And it is light enough for me to get inside by myself. I put it in a small spare bedroom. It gets cold in there. This unit is a work horse. To me the noise level is low. I don’t notice it. But with these 100+ days in Texas, I can tolerate anything to just stay cool. My pets and I are living in this amazingly cold room for now.

Once I finally got a working unit, it was wonderful!
So, I originally ordered 2 of these. When they arrived, one worked great, but the other one was leaking all of its coolant fluid out of it. The box was all torn up and there was a spot where the outer plastic cover of the unit was crushed or punctured. The replacement came and was also leaking all of its coolant out... actually it was in worse condition. Finally, the replacement for the replacement came and it was in perfect condition; no leaks, no scratches, no issues. Finally! The pictures are of the first one that arrived leaking coolant. So now that I have the two, the timing is pretty perfect. It's early spring, so some days have been in the mid 80's and some days have been in the 30's. That's just how Texas weather is. I can say that both the cooling and heating is awesome on these things. What took me back was how quiet these things were. Some other reviews said they are loud. Compared to what, I don't know, but mine are super quiet. I wasn't expecting this since this is, essentially, an electric furnace and a/c in a plastic container. My only guess about the noise is that they're comparing the noise it makes to... silence, I guess, or (a common issue with any air conditioner) is that they plugged it up and powered it on soon after getting it. When it comes to anything with a compressor pump that moves coolant (or any liquid, for that matter), you have to let it sit upright for hours before ever powering it on. The compressor is not made to move air, so if the liquids haven't settled properly before operating, you're going to quickly damage your compressor. It might still "work", but it might loud or it may never heat or cool to its full capacity. Same goes for refrigerators. The heat capacity of this was impressive. It takes a moment to warm up, so when it does come on, the compressor might kick on first, then the fan will kick in on low. After a while of running it'll be much warmer than when it starts. So far, the coolest night for me was 34 degrees and I actually had to turn them down from 72 to 68 because it quickly got hot in here. While the heat coming out may not be as hot as the heat from a gas furnace or electric space heater, it moves far more air in general. The heat coming out won't be hot enough to set something on fire like a space heater, but the massive amount of air it moves quickly made me see why it didn't need to be any hotter. The heat these provide are more impressive when I realized they use less than 1000 watts each when they are on heat. Most much smaller and less capable space heaters use at least 1500 watts. This thing does have a setting to use to dry out or evaporate the water it has accumulated. If you don't use the included drain hose and leave the drain plugged, it will evaporate this water off when it fills up. If you use it, what's interesting is that the drain is pressured; it comes out with a bit of force, enough to blow bubbles when submerged. It won't splatter water everywhere, but what's good about this is that it means it won't get clogged up like the drain on most air conditioners.I have been working from home for years and years, long before covid, so I know how important it is to have a quiet room to work in as background noise can not only be distracting, but can get you fired. This thing sits less than 6 feet away and can't be detected on my mic. Again, a working unit shouldn't be loud. It says to let it stand upright for at least 2 hours before turning on. I let them stand for at least twice that time, 4 hours. This might be the reason my units are quiet because once that compressor pushes air, it will never run quietly again if it keeps working. As far as the remote, you don't have to point it right at it for it to work. This, like all portable air conditioners, will create a bit of a vacuum which will pull air into any cracks in your walls, windows, floors, etc. No matter how well your home was built, it will pull that air in from somewhere... kitchen vents, dryer vents, bathroom air vents, etc. This happens because the air that the unit uses to cool the rear radiator, which vents outside, is pulled from the back and sides of the unit. It also pulls the air that it is going to heat or cool through the same area. So only some of the air is coming back out into your home (the air that is heated or cooled), but about half of all the air coming in is pushed out of the back of the air conditioner out of the vent that goes through the window. I'm used to using portable air conditioners, so I tend to build a box around them and put an extra vent near the back and pipe it outside, about half the size of the one going out. That tends to stop the issue and give me far greater BTU value than it is rated at. Otherwise, I just leave a window cracked somewhere near the unit as I am used to having to do this with wood stoves anyhow.

Mixed reviews this far.
I bought this AC/Unit / Heater in February 2022 for my man cave area of the home. At first everything worked great. Heat was warm and A/C was ice cold with absolutely zero issues. To be honest this is a very simple device that is easy to setup and use. Instructions are simple. I was to preface this also stating this unit was NOT heavily used. The noise level is moderate (it is not quiet) but can be tolerated by turning up the TV or surround sound. I did not expect it to be super quiet so this is not an issue. What was an issue is that at the end of July 2022, It stopped working. AC was luke warm at best in the middle of the a Southern US summer. At first I was just going to toss it out and be out 400+ bucks or whatever I paid at that time. Instead I told me wife let’s see about this warranty which I turned over to her to deal with.At the end of July my wife called the company to request warranty assistance via a number found for them on google. She was able to get ahold of somebody who stated that a claim was submitted and we would receive an email within 24-48hrs. We did receive a complaint ticket # or reference number for this call. After 3 days we received no response or email and yes we checked junk mail. My wife called them again and asked what the status was and again was told she would receive an email within 24-48hrs. After 48hrs we again had no response so my wife called them again and was told again we would have an email within 24-48hrs. She used the complaint reference number each time she called. After the 3rd callback she received an email within 24hrs asking if we did all the simple things the directions said to ensure it was broken. Things such as unplug it, clean filters, drain it etc., basically easy stuff I checked 17 times before giving up.My wife emailed back and forth with the representative whom did state that it was covered and they would be sending us a new unit. We had to send them a copy of our Amazon receipt which is totally understandable.Once the new unit shipped we had it within a week. Since that time for the small amount I have used it… it is functioning perfectly. I did plug the old unit back in just to see if the heat function at least worked on it since the AC didn’t but that also did not work.So to wrap up. When the unit is working it does work as expected, it looks nice and is easy to use. The jury is still out for me on the overall quality as I’m on my second unit. The warranty is there but will require some work to get it.I still have the old unit which I will now have to take to a dump or recycle center. I realize things break unexpectedly sometimes and I am glad I didn’t have to shell out another large sum of money on a different brand. We also have a second serine life smaller A/C only unit that has worked for one summer thus far.I am going to have to see how this unit works over the winter of 2022 / Summer of 2023 to fully know if I would buy from them again.I hope this helps somebody on the fence in some way.

A Life Saver
My AC quit working, so between waiting for the repair person to come and tell me it was dead and would be at least a month before it could be repaired/replaced, and waiting for this to arrive, I was 2 weeks without AC. It was 112 degrees outside, so needless to say, it was sweltering inside the house. When it arrived, I was so happy with how easy it was to set up! I was hot, sweaty, and stressed, but even the unboxing was, thankfully, easy! Just snip the straps and the box lifts off, so there’s no wrestling it out of the packaging. The connection of the vent hose attached easily and I was up and running in minutes. Produced super cool air immediately. The remote control works great. I do wish it was a little easier to read, I’m not so young anymore and the print is small with a black background, but not gonna sweat the small stuff! It’s a great unit for me, and love the overall design of it, easy to operate and easy to clean.

Quality product, quiet strong fan, heat option for cold blowing winds off the lake.
I live on a lake in the Kawarthas so constant humidity. No difficulty with unit evaporation system and effectively cools my living area and bedroom as a double bedroom window exhaust fan pulls the cool air into the bedroom.

A mi gusto algo ruidoso

The media could not be loaded.
