Super Alloy 1 Full Kit 3/32

I have a 1941 Nash Model 4160 Ambassador. It has two front chrome grills and the mounting portion on both were broken off. It is made of a very soft metal that melts with normal welding that would also discolor the chrome. I found a set of these grills for $600. I have never used this product before. I have tried many other forms of bonding the brackets back on that did not hold. I watched the video and did just as the video directed. When I was finished I had not even used one inch of a rod and needed only a few drops of the flux. If I ever need to purchase this again, I will.

For fixing diecast zinc radiators on old Corvettes, I didn't actually know what could be done. My gut said TIG it, my brain said don't. So did the internet. This product did fantastic, far exceeded my expectations and was easy to use.

For what I'm using it for, it's pretty great stuff. I am soldering 1/8" aluminum flat bar to a galvanized steel fitting, Prep is key! I wire blush the aluminum to a bright scratched surface, and I grind the galvanized coating off the fitting where it meets the aluminum, then a fair amount of flux, apply lots of indirect heat with a MAPP torch, slightly overheat the galvi fitting, then lay the solder in flat. make a super strong bond. I keep calling it solder, because that's really what it is, but it's very potent.
