I love these pants
I love these pants!... Now, to the caveats...I take a size 5 and that's what I ordered. I tried them on right out of the package and they were a little long as all size fives are. However, after one wash and dry they shrunk enough to fit me I have a 31 inch inseam. Also the loops for the tie straps or poorly sewn on and one ripped the first time I used them. I came home and stitched the loops better at the top with some black thread and fixed the problem. Having said that, these are an excellent, durable, fairly lightweight bottom that have reinforced knees and move very well when broken in. I would definitely buy more. I would be cautious of the size because they will shrink as others have said. But, it's like an old sneaker, once you break them in and get the kinks out of them they're a great low-cost pant. Has been using them for about 3 months now regularly and they're still going strong.

Excellent quality and
These pants are terrific. I bought 2 pairs for my kids who are in judo. I like them so much for fit & quality of the fabric that I bought a pair for myself to wear as lounge pants and when I do kids yoga with my kids. These wear like iron, and although they are white, they clean beautifully so there is never any staining.I gave them a 4-star rating because the leg seam on the pair that I bought for myself had become unstitched to about 3 inches. It was nothing that I could not handle with a needle and thread, but the QC for the company should have caught that before it was shipped. Otherwise, these are great and I would recommend them to anyone.

Great Pants
I'm an avid LARPer, and I had this nasty habit of... ripping my pants down the middle. I finally said 'screw it' and started looking for karate pants. I did some research and found that judo uniforms were better in the department of wear and tear resistance so I started Googleing them. And they. Were. Expensive. People wanted like 60+ for a single pair of black pants at all the martial arts online stores. My husband finally said to look at Amazon and there they were, $25 bucks including shipping. They're very compact when folded up in your mail box, so don't panic. I'm a pretty big girl and my size 5 fit me perfectly, probably a bit loose. Just follow the weight and height scale and it should be fine. They breath, they're comfortable, and I won't be having anymore rips with these bad boys.I highly recommend these for any sport where intense fighting, running around, or rough housing is involved.

A little info about the sizing
My knees get burned up if I wear shorts for ground fighting so I thought these would do the trick.I'm 5'7" and about 155 lbs (competitive weight of probably 145 or 140). I chose the size 4. I washed it on hot and dried it on high TWICE to get it to about my size. Still a little big in the seat but I didn't want to buy the smaller size and then have it shrink too much.I only practice MMA once a week or less so I can't say for sure how durable they are, but they seem fine, as good as any other judo gi.

Ok but the draw string loops aren't close enough to the front.
I bought these for a backup set of Hapkido pants. One thing I don't care for is that the draw string loops in front of the pants aren't near enough to the center - more like back by the pockets. so you end up with a pretty long run of the draw string in front with no loops. I priced out having them added from seamstress and the cost was more than the pants.

Decent
The pants that came with the gi tightened up pretty bad and felt very cheap. These on the other hand feel like a totally different pair of pants. They are more durable and do not shrink as bad as the ones that came with my top.

Replacement gi pants
Pants are great on my daughter. She goes to jiujitsu classes 5 days a week and they were perfect replacement for her old pants that were too short and holes in the knees. The pants would've gotten a 5 star rating but they did shrink a good amount after the 1st wash. So if someone is thinking about getting these and are not sure about the size, get a bigger one, then wash them, and the pants will shrink. Thanks!
