Bendicks Bittermints 4 Pack X 200g

We first found these mints at Heathrow Airport in London. Thereafter whenever we went through this airport we headed to get a supply of Bendicks Mints. They have a very minty fondant core with a 100% dark chocolate coating. The combination is perfect. They are so flavorful that we find that one mint after dinner, with its sweet minty core and chocolate robe, is a full dessert. These are not inexpensive, but one mint packs the punch of 4 normal mints. And since they are the best, I consider them good value. I have always loved mints but now find most similar mints oversweet or under-minty. These are completely satisfying. I was thrilled when Amazon started to sell them. They are best when fresh, and all those I have purchased at Amazon, have been. I buy 4 boxes because I often have one at night after dinner. And I don't want to run out...

I thought I would never see these again after I left England three decades ago. They were a staple with coffee after dinner for my parents. I love them and was so delighted to find them again. They truly are an acquired taste. An almost perfect balance between the barely sweetened mint center, and the cool dark smooth chocolate has been achieved here. They are a sophisticated taste, but not for everyone. Like other reviewers I too find just one with a small coffee after dinner is dessert enough. They are not cheap, but I have always believed the best is the cheapest. Before I rediscovered them on Amazon, I had tried every similar looking product offered, nothing comes close. Nothing! If you love mints do try these you will not be disappointed.

Bendicks are not as good as they used to be and this great English mint is now produced in Germany. They are still tasty but not when as stale as these were on delivery!

These mints are the best you're likely to get. Dark chocolate and strong mint inside. Not your typical US chocolaate-covered mint. Much better. Unfortunately some arrive well past their "use-by" date and are dried out. But, of recent, that hasn't happened.

Very strong intense peppermint, thin chocolate.

This is a wonderful treat if you love dark chocolate and strong mint flavor.

Es sind bei weitem die teuersten Mints die ich kenne allerdings schmecken diese hier besser als alle anderen Mints die ich kenne. Das Minz-Aroma ist so stark das man die Mints durch die geschlossene Packung riechen kann. Ich könnte keine besseren empfehlen.

Bendicks Bittermints are for the connoisseur of peppermint patties. Okay, perhaps, that's slight over-the-top. But these mints are much different from the usual peppermint patties with their soft centers and thin covering of chocolate. Bittermints have a sharp peppermint center, with a strong mint taste, and are covered in a generous, dark chocolate containing 95% cocoa solids. The service was great. The bittermints arrived in mint condition and earlier than expected.
