People, let me tell you that this product is a total joke. When I say joke, I mean that it's so useless, it made me laugh.This alarm sounds like a toy. If you were to put it in your pocket, you would barely hear it. (which I did)These products are louder by comparison:1. a cell phone2. a microwave oven beep3. a washing machine (cycle finished beep)4. most any alarm clocks5. any commercial during TV if you have Dish Network6. my ex-wifes snoringOkay, you get the idea. I immediately RMAed mine and like always - Amazon took care of me.Alternative suggestion: try the Doberman SE-101 ... if you can find it here (I bought 14)(SE-109 is NOT loud)

Save your money, do not buy this device.A couple years back, I purchased a couple of these before leaving for a business trip and leaving my wife home alone in our new house. While as the other review states, it's not extremely loud, it is still loud enough to startle someone. Which they did... my wife- after they fell off the glass on day 2 of use. They peel and stick to the glass, which worked fine for a day, but then they fall which sets it off. I suppose you could try super-gluing this to your window pane, but I wouldn't want this piece of junk being a permanent fixture. Look elsewhere.
