The text is blurry, even when zooming in. With smaller devices, like the iPhone 5, you will need to constantly zoom in on the diagrams to be able to view them better.Final Notes:*Overall, the provided tips are much more relevant to someone designing and building a minimalist home from the ground up, rather than someone trying to decorate or convert their home without having major construction. However, this book does have lot of pictures of minimalist homes, which could be helpful for those with an interest in this subject. In the end you have to decide if this type of book, as explained above, is what you are looking for.

This book has some nice pictures, but it's a small book, so it was hard to keep the pages open without having to hold onto the book. the cover is hard back, but has a paper cover. My book's cover was torn in 3 different places, which made it look used. possible careless packaging?

This was a gift, she loved it. Has a new beau that is a bit of a minimal freak and I think this will help. Cathy

Apparently, minimalist architecture and minimalism as a lifestyle are two different things. True, both focus on less stuff. However this minimalist design book is all about gargantuan boxy empty spaces. I have a hard time believing there are many lifestyle minimalists out there that would trade their precious time to work their lives away paying for such giant expensive boxes, in terms of mortgage, utilities, insurance and cleaning. I was hoping for a book that would show examples of living in a small (minimal!) dwelling and making the most of, and enjoying, less. For me, this book wasn't worth the tree that was killed to print it.

I saw this book at the book store and I'm adding it to my holiday wish list. It really is one of the best design books for those of us who enjoy minimalism and modern design! The pictures are inspiring and beautiful, and the examples are abundant!If you want a very high quality book with GREAT photo quality....get the real deal. Such books may be offered as a courtesy for your kindle, but they are not meant to be read that way. This book, in it's paper format, is fabulously enjoyable and a good reference as well!

Great photographs, but the copy could have been less 'home magazine' caption-like, and more in-depth.
