The best sugar glider wheel is by far the Stealth Freedom 19 Wheel. It is one of the quietest and safest sugar glider wheels on the market. Newly redesigned, it now features a center cap that screws on and extra thick housing around the bearings. The open drum design means no pinch points for tails or feet. The dual sealed ball bearings means a silent wheel and a smooth, dependable spin. All hardware is hidden behind two center caps. The wheel is one piece with no seams or connectors where smells can hide. Made of sturdy ABS plastic, the Stealth Freedom sugar glider wheel is durable and safe. Created by pet owners and proudly made in the U.S.A. Wheel diameter: 12 3/4 inches. Total depth: 8 inches

Flying Squirrel
I have a flying squirrel and she runs on this thing from dark to daylight. I can’t even imagine the distance she travels within a week on this thing. She rises about 8 pm. I leave her cage open until midnight or 1, she will come play with me a minute then she will go back to her cage and run. She would rather spend time on her wheel than run around exploring. She runs as fast as it will go and is sends her in circles like clothes in the spin cycle. Luckily it has the holes so she has no problem hanging on. At first it scared me to death. I thought it was going to sling her out. I think she actually enjoys it though.Pros.1. It’s large. It’s a 12” I believe. She is very small so it’s plenty big enough for her. I don’t have to worry about her back being arched and damaging her spine.2. The wheel is wide. Yes, it matters. You will understand the difference if you ever used a smaller wheel.3. The front it is open so I don’t have to worry about her getting hit or hung up. She likes to jump out in the middle of a run to her ramp. The front on her Silent Runner would hit her.4. The wheel attaches easily and securely to the cage.5. No center axle and there is a cap over the bearings, so you won’t have to worry about tail injuries or arms flaps getting hung.6. Very easy to clean.Cons.1. Her feet are small and the holes are 1/4” I think. I have always worried that her foot will slip into one of the holes and cause a serious injury. Actually, she did hurt her foot last week. She wouldn’t put much pressure on it for a day or two. I believe she hurt or strained it running on the wheel, but I can’t say for sure.2. I wish the mesh holes weren’t so large. I think the Stealth Wheels had smaller mesh, but none were available when I ordered hers.3. This isn’t a problem for me but something you may need to consider if you have a small cage. This is a pretty large wheel. I have the 2 story Critter Nation cage. It fits perfectly in the bottom level.I liked this wheel much, much more than the Silent Runner. So, if you happen to be trying to decide between the two, this one is the better option for sure. However, if you have a mouse or small hamster, I would go with something else. The mesh would be too large in my opinion.

Bounding joyfully!
The media could not be loaded. My sugar gliders are so happy with this wheel! They're on it most of the time, but I never hear a sound -- though I can watch them for far too long and just smile (and laugh) because they're having so much fun. The design is great because it's so perfect and safe for sugar glider bodies and tails and the way they run, jump, bound, and hold on and enjoy the ride full circle! (Sorry about the video quality, red light bulb to not disturb them at their nocturnal play!) They also poop a lot while they're running so it falls right through the little holes so they're not running over their mess and it's easy to clean. It's wide, so they can vary how they're running, turn around, and they often run together! (I've bought a second wheel because it was so great, and they use it too, but they're social babies and sometimes they like to run together!) These are larger than other wheels, but these kids need a lot of space so your cage should have room. It's definitely worth the money to keep your gliders healthy and happy. Measure to make sure you can get it through the door of your cage, but you might be able to put it in through the bottom of your cage depending on its design. I saw on the vendor's website that they now make inserts for this wheel for keeping claws sanded down, which was the only thing I thought was lacking before. Oh! And super easy to install. Enjoy!

Great product and glider approved.
My gliders love this wheel. They use it constantly. And while you can hear them hopping around in it, it doesnt squeak or rattle. Great buy. Will purchase again in the future.
