Would agree with other reviewers, not a light roast. In fact, I think other pages on amazon may list it as medium.Quite flavorful and lacking in harsh acidity or bitterness, very decent for this price point.Not on par with a $14 a pound coffee, but at this price I think it earns the 5 stars.

Found this searching for the best coffees. It was ok. Not as good as I expected, but it was fresh and not bad flavor.

First, a couple notes on how I prepare my coffee. I use a burr grinder and a French press. Four tablespoons of grounds per 12oz water. Water temperature 185F. Brew time 3.5 minutes.It's just a little better than Caribou Daybreak. An easy to drink medium-light roast that won't break the bank. It doesn't have the fruit heavy cherry flavor that you might get from a more specifically sourced coffee, but it's not bitter and doesn't have a chemical aftertaste. It's an enjoyable daily cup that "gets the job done."

This coffee used to be a perfectly nice, mild, easy to drink, smooth, everyday coffee. But either a bunch of the wrong beans were mislabeled, or they’ve changed the blend, and this stuff is now almost undrinkable. It’s bitter, definitely not a medium roast (more like a burned crispy roast) and it smells awful. And the worst of it is I now have three bags of this crap to get through. Never again. Ugh.

Wonderful coffee and flavor. The price was a bit high for me but will buy this coffee as a treat every now and again.

Not a light roast! Not quality bean!

Typically I prefer to buy fresh roasted bean at the local whole foods. The price was right and I enjoy beans from Rwanda region. Overall solid, good light bean, very fresh. Normally I prefer a bolder option, but this is nice and creates a good blend. I'm now interested in trying their other options.
