A great set of movies to have that look great in high def, but occasionally has issues with the subtitles being poorly timed, containing spelling errors, or sections of the film showing Japanese text and the subtitles don't explain.

One of the best
The 90's Gamera trilogy was about the best kaiju series ever produced. Solid SFX and story, this is what Godzilla should have been so many times before and after. The old movies are a good time as well, especially for younger audiences. Highly recommended.

Great product, but a little too expensive.
This is a great product. The HD transfers are all good, and the audio is decent. Before you buy this product, know that the American dubs are not included. Excluding the Heisei trilogy, every movie has Japanese audio with English subtitles. I'm okay with this, personally, but it might be a deal breaker for others.My only issue with this product is the price is a little high, which is odd considering this was made by Mill Creek. I just feel that $90 is a bit steep considering there isn't a dub option, and their are no special features. If this set was priced at $60 or even $70, I would wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone, including people who haven't seen these films before, but as is, I can only recommend it to the Gamera fans with a disposable income.

This Gamera bundle is the finest in knock off giant monster movies. It's the highest quality version I've come across. While not as enjoyable as the MST3K treatment, it's everything you've ever wanted in giant flying turtle movies.

Great, fun, giant monster movies, with one issue...
This is a fantastic collection and a great value. The HD transfer looks fantastic, even in the older entries in the series. Gamera films tend to be a little more kid oriented than Godzilla, but I'm OK with this, they are still loads of fun to watch. My only complaint on these releases (and the -1 star) is that there are no English dubs for the first 8 films. I watched a bunch of these on TV back in the 70's and I KNOW I didn't watch them with subtitles! I really wanted to introduce Gamera to my 8-year old daughter but she has to spend so much time trying to read the subtitles she barely has time to see what's going on the screen! If these had the English dubs this collection would be an easy 5 stars.

Gamera es un personaje genial y las películas son muy divertidas en especial para fans del genero Kaiju.La transferencia es muy pobre y se nota en la película más vieja que tiene muchos problemas de calidad, no contiene extras, ni tiene subtitulos al español pero la historia es lo de menos, hay que disfrutar esas peleas con tipos en trajes un tanto absurdos y por supuesto la canción de gamera.Es una buena opción si se tienen niños pequeños

Great bluray boxset
Great bluray boxset...im a huge Kaiju fan and even though Godzilla is my favorite, Gamera is a close second for me...his last 3 movies (not counting Gamera the brave) are ones of the best monster movies ive ever seen..the action is amazing, the fx are also very good and the stories are very interesting tooIts a must have for any monster movie fans
