Cute but dies easily
As much as I LOVE the idea of having a little eggling plant, I've had two of these now, and both of them have died. They're so cute, especially when they start to have little sprouts growing out of them, but I was never able to get it to become a small bush like the pictures of this product. Usually a couple of sprouts will come out, and then they just keep growing. The stems aren't strong enough to support the length, and they end up just falling over. I'm not a gardener, so I'm likely doing something wrong, but for now, as cute as they are, I won't be buying another one of these just to see it die again.

Was really skeptical but... it works!
Defied all odds! Despite what a majority of reviewers say, this does actually work! HOWEVER, I agree with one reviewer and to use a zip-lock bag as a makeshift greenhouse. Keep it heavily moistened, and leave it on a window sill that has a lot of sun exposure. If too much steam builds in the bag, lift off for a few hours and replace when it's cooled down. Given a little time, little sprouts will grow!Update: 5/17/15 Still growing strong ♥

Plants didn't grow :(
This is such a lovely concept, and I really wish I had a better experience. We received one as a gift and the plants never grew. I tried my luck again and bought one through Amazon. Alas, no growth. Just some sand and a twice disaapointed kid. Would not recommend.

Disappointed
This product is a total disappointment. Purchased several for hostess gifts for the holidays, and after talking to the recepients, not a single one sprouted. I have emailed the company, and hope I get a satisfactory response. DO NOT ORDER.

Poor choice
Choose this rating because it never grew. Was a novel idea but definately would not recomment it to anyone. Very disappointed in this product.

Terrible
I bought this with high hopes of being able to grow a plant for my younger cousin. I am a gardner myself so I was pretty excited. However the plant NEVER grew no matter what I did. To me it was a waste of money time and resources. DO NOT BUY. Get a plant from a florist or even from Home Depot- it'll be better than this piece of crap.
