Update:For some reason 2 of these cameras started displaying a color grid similar to what you would see on a backup camera on a car. See the attached screen shot.I bought this to replace the cameras that came with my Lorex 900 TVL system. The Lorex cameras started to display a purplish hue; most likely due to overexposure to sunlight over the last 3 years (see the attached pics. Lawn is an old camera and driveway is the SmoTec.)I just installed the SmoTec Q and have to admit the image quality is slightly better than the Lorex cameras. Time will tell if these cameras can put up with the same daily sun exposure, but at a 75% discount to replacement cameras from Lorex, you can't beat the price.I only have one minor complaint and it may just be that I have not tried all the positions available, but I had to mount this camera on a horizontal surface to get the image to display correctly. I have ordered four more so I will tinker with them and post the results.

When it comes to most security cameras you often get what you pay for. In this price range I typically have to replace these every 1 - 2 years. This is my first purchase of these specific cameras, so we'll see how it goes. These are about as bog-standard as you can get, but they seem to work well out of the box. No real issues with the camera focus, etc. There isn't any kind of image processing like the Sony Effio-E chips, but I'm starting to think those are a weak link on my more expensive cameras. I'll give up some of those WDR features, etc., if the cameras end up being more reliable.

Great camera. Did an install for a salon & it works great. Very good picture quality too. Recommended.

Has a pretty good quality day time image. The night time image is restricted only to the small area directly illuminated by the included IR capability. The camera has absolutely no light enhancement capability. Use should be restricted to continuously lit indoor areas.
