The control knob on this thing is REALLY sensitive so it makes dialing in a specific wattage a hug challenge but it still does what I need it to so I'm only taking away one star for that. If you are concerned, as I was, about whether it will take a standard US three prong plug, rest assured it will.

Low end voltage doesn't work at all. Goes from full output to zero output within 1 point on the dial. Meter confirmed. Will be returning.

We bought this with the intention of being able to fine tune the speed of our woodworking tools. An added benefit we quickly discovered is that dialing down the electrical current to our made in China drill press is that the very annoying vibrations (loud resonance that causes the metal guards to rattle) completely disappeared. (We would guess that the motor was actually designed to work with 50 cycle). Also works really well with our B&D belt sander. Now when we work in our woodworking shop (balcony of a high-rise) it won't alert our neighbors that we are actually building a 32 foot speedboat out on our balcony.

worked for a few hrs. got very hot and stopped working. asked for a refund or replacement. seller said i was refunded but 3 weeks later i got no refund and i was told to contact amazon lol. dont waste ur time with this controller. may as well throw ur money away

Item didn't work at arrival. I opened it. Internal connectors were not soldered. One of the output wires (red) was connected to input internal connector. You have to have basic electronics knowledge and soldering skills to fix it.It works now after soldering and internal connections correction. IMO it's overpriced quickie.

I needed this for a motorized coconut grater and it worked without a problem.
