This caused my baby's backside to burn!
Our toddler gets very hot in his car seat, despite having an a/c vent right above him. We used this to help him cool down because he is so upset every time he has to ride in his seat. When we first got it, I was concerned about the noxious chemical smell and I had to let it off-gas in our bathroom with the fan on. I should have sent it back right then but I don't want my guy to be so uncomfortable. It worked fine the first few times and seemed to keep him from getting ovierheated (he was still warm) but then today he spilled a bottle of water all over himself and the seat cover. It went down his backside (I have no idea how) and soaked everything. He was in the car all of 10 minutes and when I took him out and took off his clothes to change him, he had these burns everywhere the seat cover touched him. I have no idea what caused that to happen but there's absolutely some chemicals in the cover because I had to air it out for hours in our bathroom. I know that gel and foam products typically do off gas and it's supposed to be "normal" but the chemicals in this cover should be made public since it is for kids. It might be possible that he's allergic to something in the cover and the water caused it to leak out and come into contact with his skin but I don't think that was it. He was burning up and the seat cover was very hot when I took it out of the car. I looked for product safety information about this cover but I couldn't find anything. I'm wondering if it's even been tested for safety.

Turned Brittle After 5 Months
Received the car seat mat in fair condition. After 5 months the gel turned brittle and cannot be utilized to cushion or cool our toddler's car seat. See video to show how the mat "cracks" now instead of being soft and malleable.

Good for walks
These are really nice for short walks to keep the kids cool. For longer outings you need to put the in and out of the cooler to reuse them. Kind of wish they stayed cooler longer but even after the coolness has worn off it still helps keep comfortable temps.

Great product, especially for the desert heat!
We live in Vegas and it gets extremely hot so I needed to find something that would help keep the car seat cool while we were out and about. This thing does just that! Even if you leave it on for 5 minutes it cools it’s pretty fast. Their customer service was amazing.
