A small tripod best suited for young kids - my niece had fun! Worked for us during day and night
Update: downgrading my review, after a while it became very difficult to see or focus on anything with this telescope. Just too much trouble for the price. This was quick to set up and a lot of fun for my niece to play with both at night and during the daytime. She had trouble focusing on small stars with it - there is quite a bit of light pollution where we live - but was able to focus on far away buildings and bridges when looking at the view from our backyard deck. It comes with several different lenses and the key is you have to look at something really far away for it to focus. Anything too close will be blurry. Using the top scope helped a lot to focus. Also, keep in mind the tripod for this is TINY - like 1.5 feet or so, so it is not suitable for an adult at all unless you position it on a larger tripod. It's not a professional device, but at this price point, it is fun for kids and my husband and I enjoyed it too. The only downside is it comes with some rather cheesy galaxy posters which we didn't use or find to be helpful.

They work great for beginners seeking to look at the stars!
There is nothing that I dislike about this telescope, but more importantly, my six year old daughter loves it. She had a great time looking up at the full moon last evening!

Good Toy Telescope
My husband bought this for me to use in my k-class. I can teach them about space and stars because we can sometimes look at the moon in the morning. It says it is a toy but the quality is good, so I think it isn't. It is clear to look through and fairly comfortable. For the kids it is perfect because the stand is lower. Price is good also compared to others.

Please, just spend a little more money, or buy something else
Barely worked. I didn't expect much, as it is very inexpensive, but I expected something. Any and all ambient light pours in through the body of the telescope, rendering it useless. It is too small and unstable to handle draping any material over it to block the light. We couldn't find any objects that showed up at even a quarter of any kind of clarity.

Good telescope for kids
Bought the telescope for my camping trip to Jashua Tree National Park. It was easy to setup and worked well, best of all it kept all the kids entertained.

Not a good purchase
This was the hardest telescope to use. The tripod is good for a toddler, at best. We couldnt focus this enough for it to work.
