Good product, but just too big and unwieldy for quick access in kitchen situations. Perhaps these are big man size for the BBQ arena. I exchanged them for the smaller square ones, which are more adaptable.

I love the fact that pans don't slide around on you, and you can open drawers and doors easily with them, as they are nice and thin. They do a decent job of keeping the heat out as long as you don't need to handle something for a long time. I work in a industrial kitchen and have been buying these for myself because I can't stand the super thick slippery mitts the company uses. The only thing I will say is they wear thin very quickly with constant use. For home use they are probably fine, but if you are going to use them a lot expect to have to replace them after about 6 months.

In my former life I was a Chef & for many years after I was a consultant & salesman to restaurants, hotels, The White House & Capitol. Ten years ago I got a San Jamar mitt as a sample to use so I would know it's quality & I Love it. The web between the thumb & forefinger started coming apart a year ago, but still, a great mitt. I bought this one thinking it was exactly the same...wrong, it's better, they've improved it including the web between thumb & forefinger & it's flexibility. It isn't an inexpensive mitt, but if you get liquid spilled while taking a dish out of the oven you'll be glad you spent the money. Wet cloth mitt + liquid + 350/ 450 degrees = Pain. This is not cloth. Also, when it gets dirty you simply throw it in the dishwasher. Watching my money I'll wait a bit, but I'm going to get another one to replace my old one. Very impressive product.

I cook and bake A LOT. I put this to the test for a year before I reviewed. It still looks virtually new after all the cookie sheets and casseroles I've pulled out of the oven. More importantly, it can take the heat between forefinger and thumb -- this is where most other oven mitts fail for me. The longer length protects my arms when reaching deep in the oven (or not paying attention!). I have small hands and these don't swim on me which allows further accuracy. Based on its performance I am buying another for a matched set so I don't have to use a dish towel on my non dominant hand.

I'm a baker by trade and love these gloves . I've used them for about 15 years and usually get about 3 years of use out of a pair before stiching come undone .

After some use the where you thumb grips the pan will melt away and you’ll feel the heat increase drastically.

I was really hoping these would be the gloves to solve my oven problems, however they 'crumbled' my expectations within an hour of using them.The lenght and the fit is great, hence I am not giving it a 1 star, but the material or maybe the way it is put together failed me.Pros-Fit and comfort-Ability to wash it (however I never got to)Cons-The neoprene (rubber like material) covering the exterior of the glove is very brittle-When used with repeated hot objects, the neoprene appears to 'melt' or 'get consumed'So eventually, after using it to handle some pans, I realized that I was burning my thumb. When I checked the glove, I realized there was a big chunk missing of neoprene. It made the glove unusable, since with the neoprene gone, the only thing between my skin and the pan is a thin piece of fabric lining the inside.I feel the last solution will be a nomex glove

Does a really great job at protecting my hands from hot ovens and pans. Only problem is that they are a bit too bog. It's a one size fits all. I wear a woman's size 8 glove. Not a small hand. Also, there is a bit of a rubberish odor. Protection out weighs the 2 negative problems.

These are excellent gloves. Flexible, heat resistant and easy to clean. I've tried many but these are the best.
