I Didn't Want to Take Them Off
I started looking for new sandals towards the end of this last summer, not because they are cheaper at that time, but because by then my two Great Danes and me had narrowed my options down to only 2 extremely worn out pairs that matched. I had two brand new Birkenstock left foot sandals, one purple and one silver, but the matching rights had been eaten that prior spring or summer. The search was on. I had been watching feet at work all summer for what I could wear that would be appropriate for my needs. I have to have arch support! Without arch support in a shoe or sandal my feet will be hurting too much to wear them in two hours. I saw 3 brands that looked like they would fit my needs. Merrell was my top runner. Merrell was also just as expensive as Birkenstock. I knew where to find Birkenstock for less, but after wearing them for 10 years I was looking for a change and it was the leather the dogs were after.I found some different styles of Merrell sandals and every single one, even after summer on Amazon were too expensive. I went with the other two brands I found with good arch support and no leather. One is super comfortable and the other is okay, but too fancy for anything but work.I kept those Merrells on my Wish List for weeks just hoping that a sale would happen. One by one all the colors sold out, until all that was left was brown and bright orange. They were still at $60, having started at $90 and there was no way I could afford that, this was right at Christmas time. I was ready to just take them off my list, suddenly, the color came back and the price dropped at the same time to $49.99! I was so surprised 😳 Then before I could even react the price dropped to $39.99. By the time I got home from work and did what I had to do and sat down to buy them they were $34.99 and I jumped on them. There were only 3 pairs left then. I did pause briefly to see if maybe they had gotten any purple ones back in, but darn it no. I bought those babies in the color you see and they have better arch support than Birkenstock ever has had! They are the most comfortable sandals I have ever worn! Now I am just angry that it's winter and I only got to wear them twice! Summer hurry up and get back here!

Comfortable and looks good!!!
Love this Sandal. I have a heel spur and planter fasciitis and this sandal is very comfortable. It is also very attractive and not as clunky as some of the other Merrell shoes. Someone complained about the 'Ribbon" toe ring being flimsy, but that is exactly why I really like it. It is well made (sturdy enough) and it does not irritate the toe like leather sometimes will. I will likely order this sandal in other colors. It can also be worn with or without the heel strap which is a big plus for me. I normally wear 9.5 - 10. The size 10 fit great. All straps are adjustable so I can tighten/loosen as needed.

Olive green is nice, love the fit
This a replacement for a pair I have owned for years. I was concerned that they would not fit as well, but not the case. They are comfortable and supporting. They look great and the olive color is really rich in color. They are slightly narrower than my other pair and the velcro on the strap shorter for fastening, but it does not affect the fit for me.

Comfortable sandal and stylish
I love these sandals because they are extremely comfortable and stylish. However, I have narrow feet and the middle strap is so tight that the Velcro just nearly closes. I'm worried that over long term use, the strap will stretch and it won't fit as tightly as I'd like. I wish that more shoe company would offer shoes of narrow width so that I could get a better fit.UPDATE:I have been using these sandals for about a month now for hiking through rough terrain and water. They have held up quite well, even when trudging through water for several hours. The sandals prove to be waterproof! I was concerned that the Velcro closures would stretch out over time and the sandal would then become too loose. However, this has not been an issue so far.

Excellent shoe
I never had to break them in, they fit like a glove from the start! Merrells work well for my narrow, high arched feet. I do add an arch support to all my Merrells. When I walk with wet, bare feet on the cement, you only see me toes/ball of foot and heel, that is how high my arch is. I added an arch to this shoe too. I even forget to take of the shoes when I get home and put on my house shoes, because they are so incredibly comfortable. I live in hot weather where we are allowed to wear this type of shoe to work, so I wear it up to 12-15 hours a day.

Incredibly comfortable sandal
After years of wearing completely flat, non-supportive footwear, I was forced to look into sandals with arch support after being diagnosed with fallen arches. I tried Vionic and found the arch support to be too aggressive, I could not take even a few steps in them. Tried Aetrex sandals, better than Vionic in terms of moderate arch support, but too cushioned, squishy and thick. Finally, I tried these and my feet are in heaven. I am a size 6.5, with moderately-wide feet and a size 7 fits perfectly. I was not happy with the both the feel and the look of the Aetrex and Vionic sandals - too orthopedic-looking and these Merrells look slim, strappy, and sporty. Love everything about them - moderate arch support and adjustable straps. I have been using sandals more than athletic shoes so my toes can comfortably splay and get some much needed exercise after decades of being squished into narrow, tight shoes. I've walked quite a bit in these and they are super comfortable. Please note, if you have wide or chubby feet, you might find the sides of your feet 'spilling out' the side of the sandal. I will be buying more Merrell sandals for the summer.

loose toe strap
I love my other Merrell sandals and found these to be stylish, supportive and fit to size. However the fabric toe strap on the left sandal was much larger than on the right could not hold the toe taught when walking. I had to return them. Purchased my first pair at a well-known outdoor store so am not sure of the quality of those that are online? Will look elsewhere.

Best hiking sandals ever!
Took these sandals on the gruelling 22mile Kalalau hike in Kauai, Hawaii and they were the perfect shoe for this insane and death defying trail. These will be my new go to adventure sandal.

Great fit from day 1!
Can’t go wrong with Merrill! I have trouble with my feet - love the level of arch support - can walk for miles in these and felt that way since day 1! Love that the tread underneath is such good quality!
