I came looking for a bread lame so my breads would be prettier and rise better. In the process, like you I started seeing all these rave reviews for the Danish whisk, which also like you, I'd never heard of. I ordered the set and they are perfect. Craftsmanship is good, the wood handles are well-shaped and smooth and the working ends are solid. I haven't done anything too fancy with the lame. But the other day, I was putting two long loaves and a few rolls in the oven. Halfway through baking, I realized I'd forgotten to slash one of the breads. Great experiment actually; because the slashed one was gorgeous and crusty. And the other one rose less and wasn't attractive.The whisk sat around for a while until I thought to try it out. It is really great. I used to be so lazy and let my KitchenAid dough hook just do the mixing. Now I combine with the whisk and it's so easy and my breads actually seem a little better lately. Today I thought to use if for pie crust. It was not that great at cutting in the shortening, I also used my hands to finish the job. But it did great at mixing the water in and blending it all. Two great tool, and the best price.

This has quickly become one of my favorite kitchen tools! Works great for quick bread, pancake or biscuit type batters. Love it so much I purchased for my mother & grandmother!

I have been baking for over 50 years, some of it professionally tho most at home. I have looked at these Danish Dough Whisks for years, wondering if they would help make soft doughs such as biscuits or scones. I was looking for a lame when I noticed this bundle of items which had not only the lame, but also a Danish Whisk, all for about the price of the lame. The whisk works far better than I had expected. It is a delight to use. As for the lame, it is perfect and even comes with a small blade cover as well as extra blades. I am thinking of buying another one for a gift. This would be my highest complement for any purchase. I highly recommend this product.

This Danish dough whisk specifically has made making bread a lot easier. I really like using this whisk. It's holding up to a lot of force and hasnt come loose at all, but we will see over time.I will say that the metal part that is glued to the wood looks like it is slipping off like it wasn't put on perfectly but it's holding up and it's not so crooked that it's noticeable.The whisk can take a little more attention to clean thoroughly. I see dough getting between the wire bends and it doesn't come out with a sponge. I hesitate to let it soak because of the wood so I usually just get a knife to scrape it out. But I'm sure you have to do this with other whisks like this one.The blade has been useful for scoring the bread and even cutting it into portions after proving. Exactly as I expected it to be. Super sharp.I just started making bread a few months ago so it was nice to get the blade with the whisk in one purchase. I was looking for the cheapest bundle with good reviews and I found it. Very happy with my purchase and I think these tools will last.Of course I will update if anything changes.

The first time I used it for sour dough autolyse I thought is was a little too bulky and was intended for small pastry recipes only. So then I tried using a regular spatula for mixing the dough and water.. I immediately went back to the whisk to finish the mix. It really works well for bread dough.

Works great. Love the fact that the lame comes with blade refills as well, so they will last a while.

I have found a number of ways to use this dough whisk. I use it to gently whisk pancakes, biscuits. Just look at a few videos and you will find a number of ways to use this whisk other than just dough. You will appreciate the purchase and I will be buying more for stocking stuffers this year. I don't want to keep such a good find to myself.

I like everything about it but have not yet had the need to use it.
