VonHaus Submersible Water Pump with Anti-Kinking 8m Hose (1100W) - Drain Dirty or Clean Water from Pond, Swimming Pool, Hot Tub, Flooded Cellar - with Float Switch & Hose Connector - 10m Power Cable

I bought the pump to empty my hot tub and it did just the job and pretty fast too. The only downside was the hose. It really didn't fit well onto the pump hose tail and that meant that water was leaking out of where the hose connected to the pump. In the grand scheme this really wasn't an issue. The 8m hose didn't go quite as far as I imagined in my head (my issue rather than that of the pump) so I'm having to buy a longer one. Despite this, the pump emptied my hot tub in about half an hour which would have been around 2,000 - 3,000 ltrs of water I guess. OK it left around 2" of water in the very bottom and that is because the pump is designed to take out stones etc from dirty water so it needs that clearance in the pump intake section. Once the water goes down below the top part of the inlet, the pump can't pump anymore so you end up with a couple of inches left. This really isn't an issue to be honest. I think this is a great pump and well worth the money. It is very sturdy and the fact that you can clip the float onto the body to keep it upright so it won't cut out when the water level drops is a real bonus. I really recommend it.

Purchased this to pump out the old water in my well. I attatched my old larger sized plastic pipe and the flow rate was amazing. I was impressed. But eventually had to switch to the supplied flexible pipe as I needed to go deeper. This was slightly smaller diameter so restricted flow a little but still took my well down to about seven meters in approximately an hour or so with a decent flow rate.Im about 8 meters down now and still cant find the bottom. Going to need a longer pipe.Very impressed with this pump for the price. No issues as of yet.

Really good pump but make sure the hose is laid out straight as it will kink regardless of what is said.But that is a minor issue the pump is just great!

Did the trick! Emptied our very large hot tub in about half an hour. Easy to use. I was worried it could trip out the electric as some one else had said it did that, and we have a very temperamental fuse board. But it was fine no problems!

We brought this pump to get rid of dirty water in a hole we have dug in the garden which keeps filling up like a pond. This pump worked perfectly and emptied it fast! The Flexi pipe that comes with it works well too!

My pond had loads sludge at the bottom and I had no idea how to empty it. This pump was so effective. I kept diluting the sludge and the pump emptied the pond including the sludge. I would recommend this for sure. I washed the hose in the washing machine after, it it’s like new even though it was filthy.

Impressive how quickly it will drain a pond down to about 2 inches of water. The Flow of water slows down a lot if the fabric hose is crinkled in any way. But apart from that good purchase.
