A Bargain light for power failures!
Our power fails often enough that we've needed another lantern or two for years now. I was torn between this model, the Big BackYard Super Bright 24 LED, available from several different sellers at very different prices, and the current Ray-O-Vac SE3DLN 300 Lumen model.(I also ordered a Ray-O-Vac later, & will compare it with the BackYard on arrival.) The low total price from AtlasMart won me over, and a nice blue specimen arrived quickly, intact & A-OK. I installed batteries(4 D-Cell alkalines), & compared it to our old LED lantern, bought years ago in the early days of LED technology. What a difference! For a paltry 11 bux shipped, this thing is a big-time bargain. One thing- if used for camping, kids may be hard on it- the handle doesn't seem very sturdy. That's the main reason for 4 stars instead of 5. Also, if you need bells & whistles like various brightness levels, a flasher, etc- this may not be for you. Strictly on & off. Lumens? I dunno, but it's pretty doggoned bright. Battery life? I dunno that either, yet, but suspect that 4 D-Cell alkalines will get us through at least a couple of power outages. Bang for the buck? Absolutely!

Not obvious way to get into battery compartment
Item came with no instructions, not that I really needed them, except I couldn't see how to open the bottom to put a battery in! Pretty essential if you actually want to use it. I also had the problem that when I removed this from the package apparently a nut had come off inside the base and the whole unit came apart in my hand. If I could have gotten into the base piece I would have tried to fix it, but couldn't find anything. And not wanting to damage it trying to fix it I just returned it. Overall the quality seemed average and since I never got to turn it on I cannot comment on if it actually worked well or not. Ended up ordering a lantern from a different maker.

I ordered two of them.. One was OK and the other one is broken so I have to send it back.

I bought this product in the event of power outages - Haven't actually used this product, but tried it out and it seems to work just as stated.
