This little system saved the day!
I've been waiting to review this product, because I wanted to find out just how well it works for our needs. We've now used it for a couple of groups that have rented our space for training sessions with about 40 attendees and the leaders for these training sessions have all said that the system and lapel microphone worked great. We also had an instructor that used it for her class. She had a very soft voice and her students were having difficulty hearing her. She said that the lapel microphone worked great for her and her students we're really happy that they could hear her.Lastly, we had a large function here this last evening. We had a speaker come in and give a talk on leadership and we were presenting acheivement recognition awards to 30 of our graduates. It was a very large function with about 200 attendees and was held in our atrium which has a high vaulted ceiling. Our speaker was someone that likes to move around a lot when he speaks so we decided to try our little PA system with the lapel microphone with him. We had a couple of other speakers and a person doing the presentations and they were going to us the regular PA system with the podium microphone. When the first speaker came up to podium to start the program, she switched on the microphone on the podium and there was a loud POP. That was the end of the microphone on the podium and the regular PA system. It just wouldn't work. I switched the microphone that was in the mic. holder on the podium with the wireless hand-held microphone from the small PA system. It fit just right in the mic. holder on the podium, and turned it on. It worked wonderfully. When the main speaker came up to talk, we just switched off the hand-held microphone and turned on the lapel microphone for the speaker. It worked so well. Everyone was very impressed with the system and how well the sound quality was in the large open space of our atrium. Without this little system, the evening would have been a huge disaster. Thanks, Hisonic, you saved the day!!

Great for use in Rec Center exercise class
My wife is teaching Barre in a local rec center. The room is a large ballet/workout style room (holds about 40 people) with the sound and microphone running on the system. It was a real hassle because often the system would give a lot of feedback (the high-pitched whining, whistling sound) whenever my wife would get close to the audio or when both audio and microphone were turned up higher---a common occurrence in a large exercise class. It was really interfering with her teaching as she sometimes would just take off the headphone mic and try and talk, but her voice would get drowned out.We decided to look at this as it has a hand-held mic, lapel mic, and headphone mic. and was portable. What a great buy it was! The design seems a little old school, but the quality is superb. She uses the headphone mic and its light, relatively inconspicuous, and projects her voice really well. (ALMOST) NO MORE FEEDBACK. Once in a while, there is some if she gets 1-2 feet of the unit's speaker box, and if the echo is turned up a lot. But really, since we've had it, there has been only 3-4 times there has been feedback and it was unusual. The volume is great. At first, given the size of the speaker box, we wondered if the volume would be enough. But she has the volume at only 1/2 way and it's plenty loud for the entire room to hear, even with pop music playing fairly loud through the room. The unit comes with a simple carry bag with shoulder strap, side pockets for all additional accessories and two 9V batteries included. Ours were weak when we got them so we just bought some rechargeable 9V ones. The audio unit can run on a single internal battery, with the 9V battery (i think you have to have both inserted) and each mic uses a 9V battery or connects to the battery pack that uses a 9V.This was a great deal and we can see using it at social functions, church functions, sports activities etc.

Adequately powerful
This unit was purchased to replace another product. The differences are palpable. Overall build quality is good, the pocket receiver works well as long as you don't stray too far from the speaker. The audio is acceptable without any significant distortion. I used it for Tai Chi classes in the outdoors with 30-40 students. It's a keeper!

Excellent product, incorrect/omitted info in manual
Don't use the AA batteries that come with the product. After a short time the sound kept disappearing, a red light was blinking and I could not figure out the problem. I tried calling the Amazon support number for Hisonic and found out it was a company called InCore, not related to Histonic. I fiddled some more and discovered that the batteries were low and replacing them solved the problem. No mention of red blinking light in manual, only watch for dimming red light. There was also a battery indicator that blinked that was a great clue, not mentioned in manual, but a great addition (this is my second system). I'm not sure what "over charge" means for their warranty, probably don't leave it plugged in too long after fully charged. The manual covered a lot of information and was user friendly.
