Fell In Love
5 Shiny Stars!"It's easy to be worthless to someone, but to matter to someone...well, I think that would be harder." ~ Mia ~I adore Samantha Towle, I adored the Mighty Storm and Wethering the Storm. If you are picking this one up thinking it will be like these books, be warned this one is very different. Sure you have the smokin' hot, sexy main characters, but this is were the similarities end.We begin this book is a very strange and dark place. Mia has just lost her only parent, heart attack. Devastating right? Nope this is a reason to truly celebrate, in Mia's unfortunate case. You see Mia has been keeping secrets and hiding her pain away since before she can remember. On the surface Mia is a beautiful, intelligent, well mannered young woman. She is attending Harvard and is working towards becoming a doctor, first year pre-med to be exact. But looks can be deceiving. Mia is in a very bad place both emotionally and physically. When her father passes away, Mia is forced to face the truth. Even though she has a boyfriend Forbes, (don't even get me started on this guy), she is truly alone in this world. A startling revelation, turns her world upside down, and her journey begins anew. Mia finds the strength within, to break free. Finally willing and able to break the cycle that has crippled her, her entire life."I do believe that everyone has a pain and a coping ability that is individual to them, and if you want to feel sorry for yourself because of the hand life dealt you, then that's your god given right - I won't judge you for that." ~ Mia ~Enter Jordan (Tattooed Adonis). This man, Holy Hot Batman! Bad boy, sexier then sin, mad skills in the bedroom, covered in tats. Everything a woman could ever want and need right? Well only if you are into being short term. Jordan is a love' em and leave' em type of guy."When it comes to women, I put my dick in and keep my heart out. It's the easiest way." ~ Jordan ~He has never in his entire life been in a relationship, never even been on a date. When he meets Mia, everything he thinks he knows about himself, and love begins to shift."Sometimes that's all it takes. Just one person to turn everything on its head. Remind you of the person you were" ~ Jordan ~"I love you, Mia. Every part of you. The best and worst. The broken, the perfect. The bad, the good. You're it for me babe. I see only you." ~ Jordan~OMG, swoon much here ladies??The love story that unfolds in Trouble will melt your heart, make you swoon, make you cry. It is a story that will give you hope, that even though you are broken, you are not unfix-able. Trauma, and sickness can be overcome. Truly healing and moving forward is possible. Even the most terrifying nightmares can be forgotten."Pain of the past never goes away, you just find a way to deal with it. And the future...all the promise it holds...that's what keeps you moving forward, and out of the darkness." ~ Mia ~This book delves into some pretty heavy issues, abuse, eating disorders, rape, death, love, however Samantha Towle handled the subject matter beautifully. She balances the horrific with the beautiful. The abuse scenes are painful and difficult to read, but they truly touch you as a reader. Mia's pain and heartbreak were mine as well, and I found myself misty eyed more than once while reading Trouble. I found myself totally engrossed in this book. I love stories of redemption, love, and healing. I adore a story where you are rooting for the underdog, Mia was an underdog from page one. This book was a little bit of everything, but a whole lot of Beautiful. I will revisit this one again and again. I fell completely in love with Jordan, Mia, and Dozer. I cannot recommend this book enough. Trouble is beautiful, heart breaking, and fantastic.

A great new adult novel that readers should read!
Trouble is a standalone novel that tackles abuse inflicted by others as well as self-harm. Mia Monroe experienced dealing with cold-hearted, physically and emotionally abusive people throughout her life. It wasn't until a frightening happening that she decided to run away from her past.Mia Monroe is a very sweet, kind and likeable character. She always tried her best which is why I think she grew the most in the entire book. She has been through the most difficult and painful situations but she still survives. Not only was she abused, she is also bulimic. She is still fighting an ongoing battle and I admire her strength. I feel for her.We get to meet Mia's love interest when she goes to stay at Golden Oaks for two weeks. Jordan Matthews comes across as a jerk when we are first introduced to him. I think we needed the dual POVs because we could really see how good of a person he truly is when he takes care of those he loves. The main plot of the book is about their relationship and the struggles they had to face personally and as a couple. I really liked how there were no unnecessary drama. There was no cheating involved. Both characters were very loyal towards each other. It didn't matter that Jordan slept with a ton of girls in the past because he remained faithful to Mia when their relationship progressed. I also liked how patient and understanding Jordan was towards Mia's situation.Another character I really liked was Jordan's pet, Dozer. I smiled whenever he appeared and I really enjoyed reading the book when the main characters interact with him.I think the story buildup to the climax was a little lacking. Forbes has always been a threat since he was Mia's ex-boyfriend and doesn't accept their breakup. I felt like he should have appeared a few more times in the book. Other than that, I didn't like the lack of communication when Jordan found out the truth about Mia's mother because even Mia commented on his mistake. For the most part, I really enjoyed the book. I loved the characters and their relationship with one another. The storyline was done really well and it even got my heart pumping. An impressive new adult story that you should read!

loved, loved, loved this book!
If you didn't get it from my review title I loved this book! This is now one of my all time favourite books. I read The Bringer by Samantha Towle last summer, and when I looked up her name and saw this book I thought I would give it a try. I am so glad I did. Samantha did a really good job combining serious topics and romance into one book. I loved getting to see Mia and Jordan's relationship grow. I also love Dozer. He is now one of my favourite book dogs! He has such a cute banter with Jordan. Ah, Jordan. I love Jordan. He is a bad boy, but he can be a softy sometimes too. You need to read this book. It covers serious topics, a great dog, some humorous lines, and a great romance that is one of the best I've read in a long time. You will love reading Mia and Jordan's love story.

Amazing!
Wow! Simply Wow!I am so happy to have discovered this book thanks to the Amazon recommendations. The story is tough. The writing is amazing. You get to feel, discover slowly everything that is happening. There are no lengths, no annoying moments.Mia is ... well I don't really know how to describe her. Her life isn't easy; she is broken but still has her limits. She runs to find someone from her past, maybe a future in this person, because her real past is horrible. But what she was not prepared to meet is Jordan.Jordan is not what one would consider the perfect boyfriend. Well, he is not boyfriend material at all, but with Mia, well he rediscovers who he really is or rather who he might be... for her.The love story between the two is slow and beautiful. Amazing! The reader discovers two amazing characters by reading from both POVs. The words from the book jump of the pages and some really touch your heart. I wanted to hold Mia in my arms and to be held by Jordan.I simply loved the story and recommend it to everyone who likes loves stories where the heroes have lived through many difficult events. Who believe that live can repair broken hearts and shuttered trust. The sex scenes are smoking hot and great. The best of all: this is a standalone story, with no cliffhanger!I loved this book and hope you will as well.Enjoy the read MBTM

You must read this, NOW!
I was almost screaming (inside my head) when I realised my lunch break was over, I was 87% through and Mia was just about to break my heart, I swear I didn't concentrate for the rest of the day because all I wanted to do was go home and finish the book at the same time as never wanting it to end!Trouble is a dual narrative about Mia and Jordan who have both been through some pretty tough times. In an attempt to escape her past and present Mia inadvertently runs into Jordan, the bad boy who is trying to turn a new leaf but finds that very hard when Mia walks into his life. When they end up spending more time together and learning to be happy I was overjoyed and although I knew something bad had to happen, I totally wasn't expecting what did. And when I got home and said to my Fiancé I think I'm almost done, the main bits have happened and it is just tidying things up now, boy was I wrong, and I was soo glad I was wrong!Amazing book, well worth the read :)
