Now I brought this for our Cornwall holiday on a very sandy beach & used it everyday however it's doesn't stay sand free!!!Pros- lightweight doesn't take up much room in beach bag. Pegs very handy if windy.Room enough for whole family of 5.Cons- the sand doesn't fall thru as it states & one of the reason's I brought it.Don't try to fold it if it's windy & get it back in its bag because you won't win!Very thin tent like material you will need a towel on top for comfort you can feel everything. It's just a glorify ground sheet tbh.Bit of a disappointment I was really expecting it to do what it claims, not sure how they can get away with Saying it does something it doesn't.

Superb beach and picnic accessory. We've had this for a few weeks taking advantage of surprisingly good school holiday weather. We've used it for a picnic on grass where there was plenty of room for the four of us and also as a place to put the paddling pool to stop the grass getting in as the kids get in and put. It's done a great job and it's also been to the beach today and was so much nicer than the usual sandy towel. It's great to be able to pin it down with the included pegs and it's so compact and lightweight compared to a traditional picnic mat. On the beach it is handy to also put down a towel to lie on as it can get a bit sweaty and doesn't offer much padding, but with that you get a great base camp for a day out.I have yet to try it as a 'sail' type sun shade but can see it doing that well; the fabric seems sturdy enough to cope with a bit of wind.All in all a handy little thing for a good price.

Used this in the beach yesterday with the grandchildren it's great its realy massive plenty if room for all to share it's good quality as well and the pegs supplied were great in stopping it moving around will be also great for the park for picnics. realy pleased with this a big thumbs up from us all

I bought this for my holiday. It was sturdy, easy to fold if you follow the lines already creased. There may be some difficulty if one person i folding it up but still manageable. Value for money and we will reuse time and time again.

Never read so much bullsh*t about a product in my life. Sand doesn't fall through the material or supposed multiple layers as it states. It is definitelynot sand-free. The material is just like that of a tent. All this is, is just some material you can use to lay down instead of a towel. The only great thing from purchasing this is the 4x peg hooks to bound the thing down

The mat up to now isn’t sand resistant, well not for Llandudno beach anyway, the fans does not flow through the mat. Good size, can use anywhere on anything, easy to fold back up into little bag it comes with and can attach it to bag using the metal hook it provides. If I try the sand back home and it flows through the mat I’ll write another review as this sand in Llandudno is bit like gravel, not the smooth sand we’re used to x

If I wanted a large ground sheet then i would be very happy. The point is its advertised As a sand free Matt. Sand is meant to full through and leave you sand free!This product is no different to using a towel other than the sand is easily removed when you pack up to go home, but you still need a towel anyway lol.I wouldn’t even use this as a picnic blanket as it isn’t a nice material.Very disappointed!

Bought this as it was supposed to be sand free and the sand supposedly goes straight through absolute rubbish just like any other beach mat... yaw nice and lightweight and compact but that’s about it not what I bought it for ....
