Dichos: Proverbs and Sayings from the Spanish Paperback – June 1, 2014

"Dichos" reminds me of my family elders when I was younger hearing them talk or give advice.

"Dichos" should be described as a booklet, not a book. The print is small so it is difficult for me, an older adult to read. I could identify with some of the sayings, but I wish the print had been larger and the number of pages posted.

It's great to be able to have this treasure of "dichos, chiquilliados, adivinanzas, and creencias"They are stated in Spanish, literally translated, and then given the English equivalence of each adage.A real treasure!

This is really a thin little book with much information in it. Liked the terms and sayings, but wish there were more of them.Overall, a good purchase.

as someone learning Spanish (and have been for about 18 years off and on!) this little publication is a useful addition to my collection of hispanic publications - with interesting and sometimes useful and usable sayings.

My Mother would many times try to teach us lessons using Mexican Proverbs. And while this book was a little archaic, it does give great translations of the "dichos" that I constantly heard while growing up. It is a definite read for anyone that is looking for alternative ways to teach a lesson.
