LBJ: The Mastermind of the JFK Assassination

Compelling
Even as a little kid in the 1960s after Kennedy was assassinated, I had reason to dislike LBJ. My parents were not fooled by his good old boy antics back when he took over the White House, but this information sealed my opinion that this man should be obliterated from history and his library shut down. In all these days of toppling Confederate statues, this man’s misdeeds make any so-called Confederate like Jefferson Davis and others people are making all this political fuss about today look like nursery school antics next to Johnson’s crimes. The author has done an impeccable job of tracking and commenting on Johnson’s political coups. Read it and see what I mean!

Great Overview Of The JFK Mystery
This book provides a great overview of the JFK case. It mentions many of the most important events and aspects of the assassination which have been written about by other authors. As the book's title implies, Mr. Nelson's theory is Lyndon Johnson came up with the idea to assassinate President Kennedy. The theory is if JFK had lived Lyndon Johnson would have been sitting right next to his old pal and 'right arm' Bobby Baker in the penitentiary if not the electric chair. Lyndon's corrupt and murderous past was starting to surface and the Kennedy brothers were feeding those damaging revelations to the news media so they could kick Lyndon off the ticket in 1964.Whether that's exactly what happened I'm not sure. But it is my belief that President Kennedy doesn't get killed unless Lyndon Johnson was the vice president and J. Edgar Hoover was the FBI Director. The reason I say that is an honest new president or an honest FBI Director would have represented unacceptable risks for the conspirators. They had to be sure they had the support and backing of the FBI and the office of the president. So I'm not sure Johnson was so much the mastermind of the assassination but rather a byproduct and integral part of a system that was rotten to the core. And the question is how much have things changed over the last 60 years or so.This book is the story of a shadow government that took control of the United States on November 22, 1963. Lyndon Johnson was the designated leader of that shadow government. The book tells how Lyndon's evil hand reached deep into many government and law enforcement institutions mainly in Texas but also in other places like New Orleans and Washington, DC..Towards the end of the book Mr. Nelson discusses Lyndon's mental state and the possibility that Lyndon suffered from a long list of psychological maladies with names like bipolar disorder and a sociopathic personality. I guess those are the technical terms people use to describe someone who was completely blinded by greed and ambition with zero concern for the consequences for their actions in this world or the next.I believe the JFK conspiracy theories about Lyndon, the CIA, the FBI, and the other government entities. Because it is very clear today that the official version of events as provided by the Warren Report is completely untrue and implausible. So if the government itself has been lying for all of these years the question is why.Which leads into questions about why they wanted President Kennedy dead.

Every American should read this book.
I've always thought that LBJ was the best candidate for having JFK assassinated. He had access, very strong motives and a golden opportunity to benefit from Kennedy's mistakes with the FBI and CIA. This book could have been a little shorter as it repeats several areas but that does reinforce the underlying activities that show a very high likelihood that LBJ was behind the guns that killed Kennedy. After reading this and other books about the FBI and CIA corrupt and treasonous activities it is easy to accept that America does have a 'deep state' within it's security services. Every insider in Washington has to know, "There but for the grace of ... ". Our Democracy is flawed and possibly cannot be repaired. It may take a coup and revolution before we can return to our ideals.A thought provoking book that is as relevant today as when Kennedy was forcibly removed from office in a clandestine coup by LBJ and the secret services.

Sheds light on one of the most important events in US history
There continues to be controversy about the shooting of JFK. Nelson presents a very well researched study into the events and people leading up to the assassination and, equally as informative, the cover up that followed. He makes it clear when he is presenting solid facts, when there is data that is indicative of the plot and when he is making his own conclusions. Best of all, he connects the dots of individual events and shows the pattern that steadily points the finger at LBJ as responsible for the killing and the cover up. This is a must read for anyone interested in American history and especially if you have accepted the Warren Commission's report.

HE WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR 58,000 AMERICAN DEATHS......PLUS ONE?
Have not read every word. What I have read has made my hair not stand up but return in places.....I'm not convinced LBJ wrote a blueprint but am I convinced - I should say - further convinced, that he and shall we say, "benign conspirator" Hoover, let it happen ...in the "right place" at the "right time". Then, jumped all over the early investigation: it appears that within 12 hours,. the real hard evidence, found in the limo and of course, horrifyingly, on the body of JFK, was wiped clean. You decide if all that was for the security of the USA.If you are like me, and did not know about the "real' bullet hole through the windshield, for this reviewer, impossible to happen from a 6th floor perch, then , as they say in cliché-land, fasten your seat belts.Pages 334 to 344 contain some of the most pupil-dilating stuff I have ever read about 11-22-63. Don't want to give it away: chapter on "Conspirators". An expanded version of that chapter alone and we got a fantastic book! There's a lot more here than 11-22-63..but if you believe that this guy from Texas, who basically started a huge war (essentially with 48 hours of the assassination) that his predecessor was determined not to start, was also capable of "killing" a domestic civilian, the buy this book and read it 6 times. I'm so startled by parts of the 11-22 analysis, that I can't seem to go back to page one and do it right.

One of the best
There are many excellent publications of the coup d'etat. This is one of the best, particularly at describing the notions, motives and acts of LBJ. One has to worry that it is frightfully easy for truly wicked people to harm the nation while seeking power and glory.

"HEIL" TO THE CHIEF...
I have seen/read many bios/docs regarding Kennedy, Vietnam and the 1960’s and have been slowly fed info on LBJ over the ensuing years. I have digested implied hints to down right accusations that LBJ started the Vietnam War and had a hand in JFK’s murder, but nothing prepared me for the onslaught of evidence that the 36th president of the U.S. was a completely, thoroughly corrupted man and would do anything to achieve his life long dream of “becoming president some day”, even ordering others to commit murder on his orders! His long trail of corrupt deeds knows no bounds apparently. Liar, Ruthless, Bi-Polar, Crude, Self-Serving SOB. Even his “good deeds”, like the signing of the 1964 Civil Rights Act were brought to fruition only when it served to prop up his Administration’s faux accomplishments. The fact that the passing of the bill was stymied by Johnson himself all the while he was Vice President, seems to have been lost on most historians. I find it utterly amazing that (given the facts within this book) to this day his (LBJ’s) reputation has not been tarnished by a long list of documented connections to; shady characters, bribery, blackmail, threats and even murder! The fact that he “got away with it”, even decades past his own death continues to stun me. The book strongly points out, that at the time, LBJ and his antics were an open secret in Washington power circles but alas the fog of time has covered up his illicit deeds to future generations who have been blasted by the spin doctoring of days gone by. It only proves what Eisenhower feared about the HOLOCAUST, that unless we prove to the world right now that it did indeed happen, in future years...someone, somehow will find a way to deny it ever occurred despite the many witnesses and hard evidence to the contrary. Like Hitler in his day, few people were about to believe “der Fuhrer”, our glorious leader, would be capable of such heinous deeds. It must be a mistake....

An American MacBeth
This is one of the most gripping books I have ever read regarding the assassination of John F. Kennedy. Even though I do not go along with the author's premise that Lyndon Johnson concocted the entire scenario in his mind including the cover-up, Oswald as the lone gunman and the destruction of evidence, this book goes much farther than all the others in tying up a hundred loose ends in the assassination riddle. If even half the things written about LBJ are true then, compared to him, Hitler wasn't such a bad guy! Read this book and you will continually ask yourself..."How did this monster get to be President of the United States?" Johnson had a devious and conniving mind. He manipulated people constantly by bullying, blackmailing, threatening or sweet-talking them. Yet, I doubt that he had the intelligence to plan every detail of JFK's killing. More than likely, the plot was suggested to him by some high-ranking official in the Pentagon or the CIA.Both the military, the spymasters and J. Edgar Hoover of the FBI hated Kennedy and wanted him gone. Wealthy industrialists and Texas oil men were of the same mind. The killing of John F. Kennedy would put Johnson in the White House, where he had always longed to be. Read this book and you will see how all the pieces fell into place in Dealey Plaza, Dallas, Texas on November 22, 1963. Forget all the books that speculate how Kennedy was killed by the Mob or the Cubans. This is the one that will put you on the right track towards the real truth.
