ESV Illuminated Scripture Journal: Zephaniah, Haggai, Zechariah, and Malachi

I’m in grad school for theology. Despite doing most of my reading and writing digitally, I find it very helpful to start with one of these journals and an ink pen. I think this is equally true of private devotional reading.It’s so much easier to pick up on things if you’re noting them as you go — or even drawing arrows or large exclamation marks. I feel like using these journals really does help me to take in the “big picture” better, AND to notice the small details and repeating themes.If you’ve never used something like this, I really recommend trying it out. It’s also really neat to come back after a year or so, and see the notes you made before.
