Best french press I've ever used. Only downfall is that it shattered while I was tapping it on my plastic garbage can to clean out the wet grounds :(

I only purchased this french press over any other because it was on sale. It was marked down from $69.99, with an additional 25% off at checkout! And now I know why it is so cheap - because it has cheap craftsmanship! The carafe and holder/handle seem to be okay in quality. I have yet to drop or knock this french press over so I don't know if I am looking at high quality, tempered glass, or just some cheap "Made in China" knockoff. However, upon brewing my first coffee, the anticipation of my first cup grew and grew as I poured in the coffee grinds, added water and stirred, then waited. Ding. My 5 minutes were up! I grab the handle for the plunger and press down. The handle breaks apart into three pieces. The plunger didn't move. I pinched the now metal stick/handle and pushed down so I could at least have coffee before I contacted Amazon. Fortunately, I was able to get a partial refund, so this press ended up being very, very cheap(!), but I may regret no returning for the full value if the carafe is of poor quality as well. I MacGyvered a new handle with some Gorilla Tape, so I should be good to go.On a side note, I saw this exact same press being marketed for "Kona" coffee as well, as if each blend of coffee requires a special made press just for it....

This is just amazing!! Double filter makes coffee smooth and with almost no sediments. Double filter also makes the handeling easy and fast. Cleaning is easy too. I am using french press for now and all the french press in this price didnt met my expectation like this one. The top nob or the press nob did have one problem though. There is a paint film on it which came out. Still the underlying paint is black so its not a negative and it dosnt go inside coffee so it dosnt matter if the plastic quality is not good (though it looks good quality). I use it everyday 2 times.

I had reservations about getting this press as I was concerned about durability and reliability. However, after using this daily for both coffee and tea, I am very impressed. The coffee and tea both turn out fantastic. The only issue I have with this press (not like I have experience with others!) is that the coffee grounds get hung up in the presses edges, so cleaning is not as easy as I had thought. However, this is more my OCD than a bad spot on the product. Overall, well worth the purchase!

Makes good coffee, but the knob breaks too easily. I bought two of these and in both instances the knob broke.In the second incident, my wife had a puncture wound. I will not recommend this product to any one.

Easy setup, nice to have extra filters preventing grounds from leaking. Difficult to clean.

This French Press is not as the header states: Durable. It is the opposite! I received the first one which broke upon hand washing in the sink within the first week of use. I then ordered a second and just chalked the breakage up to a fluke. Within a week of having the second BRU French Press, it broke while washing it in the sink! In the meantime I had ordered a third as a Christmas present but decided to return it as obviously it isn't a durable product. Thankfully, Amazon was wonderful and refunded me for the second French Press as well as the one I returned.
