Lovely Gift for my Mother-in-Law
I am such a fan of Wanda Brunstetter and her Amish books. This is my first time buying an Amish cookbook that she has published. I actually bought this Amish Friends Cookbook for my mother-in-law for her birthday because she too is a huge fan of Wanda Brunstetter. My mother-in-law is always baking the recipes that some of the Amish writers put in their books and I thought this Amish Friends Cookbook would be a great gift for her. When it arrived I had to browse through it of course and I loved so many of the recipes that I copied several of them for myself before I wrapped this cookbook up for her.The cover has a beautiful photo of Amish children and the inside pages are thick and good quality. After I gave this cookbook to my mother-in-law she told me she loved reading the little inspirational quotes throughout the cookbook.

I'm very disappointed. So far 6 out of the 7 recipes ...
I'm very disappointed. So far 6 out of the 7 recipes I've tried have been horrible and the ingredients have been incorrect. For example: I had to add twice as much flour to a muffin recipe, it was still runny. And the Laura's casserole had to cook 20 minutes longer than it called for just to get the pasta tender. Everything so far as either been bland, incorrect ingredients or incorrect cooking time. I've used a lot of cookbooks over the years and this has been the biggest disappointment so far.

Great book
I Love this book! I used to get it from the library but needed it at home. Simple fun recipes that taste good on their own or they also make good templates to experiment.

If you want a good to eat cookbook get this one!

The best I've ever had.
I love this cookbook. I've make several things out of it. And they are all amazing. There's a carrot cake in there that will knock your socks off.

Good Food from The Amish
I really love Amish people and they can really cook! The Amish Friends Cookbook just jumped right out at me and I couldn't wait to use the recipe's.Sandy H.
