Met All My Expectations
I am very pleased with the performance of this grinder. It took care of my main complaint regarding the performance of inexpensive, Chinese coffee grinders from eBay- inconsistent particle size. The particles resulting from the Lido 2 are VERY consistent. It's a very well-made piece of equipment. I like it. Only one slightly negative comment. It doesn't give particles as large as I'd like but I can certainly live with what it does provide.

Phenomenal
While this was a splurge for us, it was worth it. The grind is close to perfectly uniform, it’s quiet (one spouse can use it in the morning without waking another up), and most importantly: it’s greatly increased the quality of our coffee. Would recommend and would buy again

Great product!
This thing is very well thought out, manufactured to strict tolerance, and built like a tank! I don't grind ultra fine so I chose this one over a different model. It is a bit of a workout but I can grind 3 scoops of beens for my aeropress before the water is finished being nuked for 2min 30sec. I would buy it again if ninjas broke in and stole it.

But this is nice to look at AND easy to use
I wasn't sure that I would be ready for a hand grinder. But this is nice to look at AND easy to use. In the morning in particular, I am very averse to the noise of an electric grinder. And much prefer a few grinds of this device to that noise as a morning ritual. It should be added that at first the grinder *IS* pretty hard to turn. But after grinding enough for a couple cups, it becomes easier.

Good value compared to automatic
Very easy to grind, and very fast - about 5 seconds per cup's worth at most.

Fiddly adjustment rings
I have a Lido 3, a similar grinder made by the same manufacturer. The adjustment rings on the grinder are fiddly and can get stuck, after which one is out of luck. The manufacturer's response to such problems has been poor. Despite the vaunted 'Swiss' burrs, they have also proven to have a shorter life than expected.

Solid grinder but grounds cup has issues
I purchased my Lido 2 directly from the manufacturer. It's a solid hand grinder that produces a uniform grind, but the stock BPA-free grounds cup actually has its threads worn down by the coffee grounds, which according to the manufacturer, act "like sandpaper." After grinding two cups a day for about 16 months, the grounds catcher would just fall off because it could no longer be tightened to the grinder adjustment ring assembly. There are three options for replacement: another plastic cup for $12.50, a glass grounds cup for $3.50 or a new, stainless steel catcher for $22.50. When I contacted the manufacturer, about the issue of the grounds cup falling off, they recommended the stainless steel option. So, I'm guessing the plastic replacement option is just the same as the problematic stock cup.
