Excellent Products
An RVer told me these keep mud daubers and small birds out of the vents. It is true! Mud daubers get into small holes and can build nests in the water heater, refrigerator, and heater vents (the heater vent can fit birds and bats, even chipmunks and voles), and cause fire and other damage so I bought these easily installed screens for all vents and I haven't seen one wasp go near it. Simple installation, well constructed, strong chrome plated wire, they do not move while traveling, and look nice. I highly recommend these vent screens for all vents on the RV. Very Good Product
This screen, like the furnace screen, is very well made. Unlike the Camco Screens, which rust and clog almost immediately, this screen is truly made of stainless steel, and has not rusted in one full year. It covers the vent fully. It is easier to apply than the furnace screen because you can open the cover to get the springs into position easier in order to secure it. It comes with a tool to get the springs into place. It may seem the supplied springs may not hold the screen in place. Believe me, I had thought the same thing. However, after traveling up and down the East Coast with this product in place, it has stayed on. And these screens are very hard to dent or bent by hand. They are very strong.This product is a must for all RV owners. It helps keep the wasps and critters from taking up residence in your RV Spend the extra money and get a well made product. I had the Camco Screens on for one year, and replaced them with these. I threw the Camco ones in the garbage because they had already rusted and bent.Be sure to keep the spring tool handy in case you need to remove the screen. Happy Camping!

Good quality and fits new Dometic water heater.
Second time purchasing due to new camper being bought. I didn't realize when I ordered this that my new camper has a Dometic hot water heater because the cover looks almost identical to my last camper. I was afraid this wouldn't fit, but it fit great.

Nice Fit
Screen fit perfectly over water heater opening. I was leery of the attaching springs as I thought they would rust out quickly in a Florida climate so I instead used two stainless #4 x 1 1/2" machine screws and lock nuts which easily fit thru the mesh. The coach may now rust out but the screen will still be in place!

Size is different than listing
I measured several times. I purchased this because listing says it is 8.8"x6.3". On the package it says it is 8.5"x5.5". Too small.

Be sure
Didn't fit my water heater. Covered the meshed openings but not the louvered vents. So useless to me.
