Mother Earth [VINYL]

I only rec'd this today but like it so much already.The singing is fantastic.Lookng forward to owning more of their albums.

An all round good album it's more symphonic metal than there later material but a really good listen, stand out tracks are Mother Earth, Ice Queen, Caged, Dark Wings plus the bonus tracks are decent too.

For a symphonic rock album it's ok though I found Sharon den Adels vocals a bit too high and thin at times. Sounded like a Kate Bush or Maddy Prior almost seeming to struggling at times. Still it's a good album if your liking is not for too heavy music, though a few tracks are very similar in sound.

this is a unique band with a beautiful lead singer, her voice is almost childlike and angelic. the songs themselves are really deep and meaningfull and some are allmost pagan. the bonus tracks are worth the disk alone, especially "bittersweet" which cant be downloaded.i highly reccomend this to anyone who has a taste for haunting melodies with rock music in between, europes ansewer to evanescence!

After purchasing The Silent Force, I have absolutely fallen in love with this band, and decided to buy as many of Within Temptation's CD's. This album is a little different in style, but it still makes for great listening!

Another stunning album, combining an almost Riverdance Celtic influence with the beautiful voice of Sharon den Adel. Similar to Evanescence, but far superior.

Having originally heard WT on the radio I was captivated by Sharon Den Adel's voice which blends perfectly with the symphonic rock genre. Put the headphones on, turn up the volume and enjoy!
