Great CTI Jazz
Well since there were no reviews of this great set, I just had to jump in recommend it. The title track is of course great and really different at the same time from most melodies. I think the whole album is great. I bought it back when it first came out on vinyl, and I still have it and play it from time to time. I can't believe his other great CTI album "Rambler" has not also been released, because in some ways, it is even better. Bob James arranged that set and did a superb job. I think he arranged Mizrab as well, anyway both albums are worth owning if you like Gabor's style. If I were reviewing Rambler, I would say more, but believe me, Mizrab is worth several listens.

A very nice Bob James album with Gabor Szabo as the featured guitarist. If you don't like Bob James, skip it.
Bob James disrespected Gabor because Gabor was a junkie. He felt that this should be a "Bob James" album, with Gabor Szabo as the "featured" guitarist. The album "Rambler" is even worse. You can hardly hear a note Gabor is playing. It's all drowned out by the "Bob James" arrangement. There are some moments when Bob James shuts his face and "allows" Gabor to be the star. Otherwise, the rating would be ONE STAR.
