QuickStart Guide That Is A Must
If you have as much difficulty in Photoshop as I do you must have been reviewing various self helps and guides. It's the little things that bug me and often I will thumb through this guide and there is a the answer. This is my second guide for Photoshop and one of the best references you can have on your desk. I you have an issue the chances are that you may be able to get help out of this guide. Printed on quality pages, good font and just a nice overall book. Well worth the small price one pays compared to the prices for this software. While I have found the book to be more than adequate there is a "guide" available also and the code for unlocking that internet service is in the back of the book. Thus you get not only print but the guide as well.

Great Documentation for Big Changes
I have used versions of Photoshop Elements off and on for years, although I have used Photoshop as my main focus for my photograph hobby since many of the processes I needed were not included in the Elements proram. When I read about the many changes and improvements in the Elements 11 program editor I decided to try them out. For my photography hobby, I need the strength of the layers processes as well as the Camera Raw processing to accomplish what is required to get a good end product to use and/or store for future graphics projects. Although I have not had much time to put the Visual Quickstart Guide book through its paces, the few processes I have tried, plus the index and table-of-contents, have already convinced me that I will soon be able to successfully complete many of the tasks I use regularly and also learn many new ways of doing new things with this program. I never go to my computer without it.

Great reference book
I bought this book from Amazon some time ago, but now I am doing a PE course and have found this book contains explanations of the different edits as well as step by step examples that allow me to understand and carry them out more easily. It is clearly set out and easy to follow. I only use the editing facilities and cannot comment about the Organiser information in the book. However, I think you probably would need a bit of background knowledge prior to trying to learn from this book. The package (PE) is quite complex.

Helpful, But...
This book is helpful...but it helps if you already know the lingo or if you're already familiar with photoshop. This was my first time using a photoshop elements program, so a lot of what I learned came more from trial-and-error experimenting. I also learned more from youtube videos I searched and bloggers who do "how-to" posts as opposed to the listing in the book. The main thing is that if you know what you want to do but don't know what exactly it's called in technical terms, it may be difficult to find the correct instructions section using the glossary or index. That said, once the correct section is found and I developed a starter's understanding of some of the technical lingo, the actual instructions for each operation were easier to understand than most books I looked at in the store. The pictures and step-by-step instructions were a big positive.

photoshop elements 11--for photos
I'm amazed at what this can do. I'm a total beginner, but with 3 levels from easy to expert, it teaches you and it is relatively easy to learn.I bought it for windows 8, but was amazed to find it runs on my XP! I don't store pictures on the XP but on 2 external hard drives, so XP isn't overloaded. If you want video and a few of the photo options, you need Premiere. It is also amazing.

It's O.K.
Tedious and complicated rhetoric. Complicated and tedious rhetoric. It's O.K. Tedious, complicated rhetoric that was complicated, etc. Not worth the money and it drove me to Apple's iPhoto.

Could be better.
I wish they went into depth more, this was kind of hard to follow.

Good Basic Book with e-book free
The book is a good basic guide to Elements 11 covering the main parts of the programme with clarity. It is pleasing to see the inclusion of an e-book version of the book, via a download, making it available to anybody on the move via a laptop, tablet or similar device. Although I shall mainly be using the hard copy the e-book version will be useful when on the move. This is aconcept that all publishers should follow as it costs no extra money, the purchaser having already paid for the hard copy and the download only goes to that person`s account.

A very helpful book
Although not a complete A to Z manual, it is a very helpful book and covers the majority of of elements11. It is easy to follow and the illustrations are very good, so I can now deal with many photographic problems. I had struggled with Photoplus X5 and The Gimp for a couple of years and never felt comfortable with them, but now feel quite at home with PSE11, even though there is still a lot to learn.

Photoshop elements 11 guide
It is useful, but not as straightforward as I hoped. Things do not always appear on my screen as they do in the book. I need to spend more time with it
