Through A Dog's Ear: To Calm Your Canine Companion 2

Nice music for my dog to listen to when he is in his crate. It seems to calm him.

This is a pleasant CD. I don’t mind playing it over and over.I don’t know if it works by calming the dog or by calming the owner, which helps the dog feel better.

I have two dogs, one with anxiety issues. This music amazingly calms both my dogs. I find it very relaxing as well. In addition to playing the music in the car when we travel with the dogs, I also play it in the house where I have their crates located.. They already associate their crates with a safe place, and this music just seems to make it even more peaceful. As with all dog training tools, it works best if you can introduce the dog to the music during normal, peaceful times. Now, when I have workman in the house, the dogs go to their safe place in their crates, the music is playing, which calms them but also covers some of the noise from the workman. At the end of the day, they are much calmer and less fearful and I am much happier. I would highly recommend this CD or any of the other CD's by Lisa Spector and Joshua Leeds for this purpose.

I use this CD when my anxiety-ridden dog and I take car trips (more than 30 minutes) and it seems to help take the edge off his worry. I volunteer with a breed-specific dog rescue group and occasionally transport a newly freed but still-stressed dog from an animal control facility to his/her foster or forever home. I've found that playing this CD, softly (from the car's rear speakers to it's close to the dog and might muffle some of the traffic noise) does help them calm down a bit and feel a little more comfortable. The animal facility in which I volunteer plays this CD in the dog kennels and there's noticeably less anxious barking. I won't promise it works with every dog but it works those those I've used it on so far. I recommend having it on hand and playing when the dog is left alone, during fireworks, thunderstorms or loud street parties. I wish it had more music on each CD so I don't get bored with it when we're driving. ;-)

I got a used one and it is in mint condition! The case looks a little used on the edges but I don’t care about that. I work for a kennel managing day camp and the indoor open play can get hectic at times and popping in this cd can make a world of difference! Plus, it’s nice background music for me and my coworker :) if it can positively affect 70 dogs imagine just the one or few in your home! Much better than random radio stations that can have anxiety or energy boosting melodies and tones! These albums are selected to be soothing and positive for dogs.

This CD is very relaxing and soothing. My cat seemed to like it more than my dog. The second track is not even playable as it skips the entire track.

These CD's helped overcome some of our dog's separation anxiety issues. It helped calm her down after the initial shock of us leaving for the day. In her crate she is calmer and easier to deal with while taking the clips off of the crate to let her out in the evenings. The quality to the CD's to our ears doesn't seem to be the best, but these were made for dogs to listen to. I highly suggest anyone who has a dog that suffers from separation anxiety to give one of these to try. It isn't a cure all be all for the anxiety issues for my dog, but it has helped tremendously and I am very happy with these.

I just love this CD so do our dogs. I bought 3 CDs from this collection. I put one of these on every night at bedtime and it lulls us to sleep. I don't know who it works better for....me or the dogs. The music is beautiful, played slowly and calmly. Just lovely.

Anche questo secondo volume funziona alla perfezione nel calmare e rilassare i miei cani. In casa lo uso spesso e loro si mettono sul divano e si fanno delle belle dormite.. OTTIMO PRODOTTO!!!!

I bought this CD to calm our one-year-old labrador who was finding life far too exciting! He responded to it almost instantly. It is soothing music, rather slow, with a gentle "pulse". As soon as it starts, he lies down and within minutes he is asleep! It is unbelievably good, and it seems to calm the rest of the family too! It is particularly useful when visitors arrive and, as background music, it is very pleasant too! I even listen to it when I'm alone in the house! It was an excellent investment and Volume 1 is just as good.

und ihre Menschen.Diese Musik ist speziell für die "Ohren eines Hundes" konzipiert, klingt also anders als die Originalstücke.Die CD beinhaltet 11 Stücke (u.a. Träumerei, Winter der Vier Jahreszeiten).Gesamtspielzeit etwa 1h.Wer mehr darüber wissen möchte dem empfehle ich das gleichlautende Buch von Joshua Leeds. Darin wird auf die Beeinflussung des Hundes mittels angepasster Takte etc. eingegangen. Dass es wirkt hätte ich bei unserem absolut (bis dahin) unkaputtbaren Border nie geglaubt. Aber es klappt. Gut, inzwischen ist er auch schon 9, aber bis vor seiner Meniskus-OP vor fast 4 Monaten machte der Hund sich selbst genug Stress, auch die Geräusche bei uns tagsüber im Büro waren nicht gerade beruhigend.Jetzt läuft im Hintergrund diese Musik per AutoRip und der Hund ist völlig entspannt, schreckt nur bei sehr lautem Poltern auf.Sicher, auch die Physiotherapie und das Anerkennen, dass es jemand mit Streicheleinheiten undMassagen gut meinen könnte musste unser Alterchen erst mühsam lernen, aber seit Beginn der Physio und nun mit Musiktherapie haben wir einen entspannten Hund - zumindest solange bis es heißt: anziehen, wir gehen raus...Wir Menschen sind wirklich dankbar für die Arbeit von J. Leeds und diese schönen (wenn auch recht teuren) CDs. Der Kauf per Amazon in USA lohnt kostenmäßig (Zollgrenzen beim Warenwert beachten), da ich aber gern AutoRip im Büro nutze kaufe ich dann zum Amazon-Preis.Für alle die erstmal testen wollen: bei youtube Musik suchen, Stichworte "Calming Music Dog" und den Hund probehören lassen.Achtung!!! Die Entspannungsmusik ist als leise Hintergrundmusik gedacht, also stets leider als Zimmerlautstärke einstellen!!!Nochmals Achtung!!! Hohes Einschlafrisiko auch für den Menschen in Hörweite...Ich kaufe mir weitere CDs dieser Reihe und kann die Musik guten Gewissens empfehlen.

I put this on before crating my dogs when leaving the house. They associate it with their crates and they are a lot calmer with the music on. It's nice to fall asleep too for the human as well. I ended up ordering most of the collection.
